Oh, I agree. I just think Parker wasn't the biggest problem today. Tim's "soft" play and the invisible D bothered me more.
Well, I don't think Parker was the biggest problem today, in fact he was probably the sole reason the Spurs were still in it at halftime. But even with the score tied at 53 at the half, I just knew the Spurs were going to come out and lay an egg in the 2nd half. It's become so predictable, it's downright scary. Same thing happened against the Celtics, same thing in Utah, same thing happened against the Suns, same thing today against the Jazz. For whatever reason, the Spurs offense seems to disappear after halftime and that's when their problems surface against the good teams.

Wow, what's this running on and who's hosting it ?
We are moving it to a dual server system next week, that's what will run us over $1,000 a month - which is actually a great deal. We get over 3 million page views a month, so we can't have a weak server.

if its any consolation the first half looked like the spurs palying playoff bball

    the second half looked like...
That's been their problem all season it seems. I can't figure out of it's a mental thing, old age that's making them short on a lot of their jumpshots, or something else.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH. .. I actually thought I saw Spurs playoff basketball for a few minutes in the first half. They were rotating and rebounding very well. Then halftime came. Things are looking really bad for us. Where is our confidence and championship swagger???? I still have hope.

    I'm sick and tired of:
    1) the Spurs packing it in when the chips are down. Play the rotation you would normally play if you are losing, I would prefer a Jerry Sloan style minutes rotation if we know we have no chance at the game. Just play the damn game, your way the right way, if we are going to be on cruise control until the playoffs.

    2) Duncan playing it soft, and playing for the ref's call.

    3) Our lack of a bench.

    4) Brent Barry's injury.

    5) The lack of motion in our offense. And the lack of rotation in our defensive sets.

    6) pretending like it's okay that we lose because there is always the playoffs.

    7) Losing the ship because it's an even number year.

I thought I heard you say 3M/week. Luckily, we're still doing a little better than that.

Lakers D clogged the lane and no other Spur did anything to help open that back up.
Yeah, Laker's D looked a lot like what we did to Lebron, always shadowing with a big, not a hard double, a very minimal one, but just enough to keep him out of the lane.

do you realize that without Scola the Rockets would even be a playoff team?

and the Spurs just gave him to them, KNOWING HOW GOOD HE WAS

his talent was no mystery, in fact FOR YEARS, people was praising the Spurs for having Scola and saying he would be huge when he came over

Scola is no better than Oberto. He's the same 6'9" smart fundamental no jumping no defense post player. ing recognize. The Rockets didn't HAVE a PF, so Scola is, I admit, better than the nothing they had.

I agree. I saw the 2d half meltdown coming even before halftime, and was shocked that the Silver & Black managed to actually be TIED at the half.

Really ... THESE guys are a championship contender. Really ...!?

These guys, the ones in black, are the defending champs!?

Really ... the Spurs!? are 2 games out of first?

How is it possible? These guys won't make it out the first round.

Your love for Scola knows no limits.

Besides, given how weak the East is that's not saying much.

He did. I'd like to know why.
Like we discussed in the game thread, if this keeps up into the playoffs something is not right with Timmy. I really hope he is 100% healthy and is not hiding an inury because this is just not Tim Duncan.

He's playing like he's never seen a double team in his life. And he's playing as if Gasol isn't a soft defender. And he played like it was 2001 and Shaq was in his prime against the Suns. And he played like the Jazz still had Karl Malone to defend the middle and not Mehmet Okur.
