Mine was Dirk gagging on a free throw with 1:26 remaining in Game 3 of the 2006 Finals and blowing a 13-point lead.

My 2nd when Pop inserted the 37 yo Kerr into the game late in the third quarter while trailing by 15 points of the 2003 WCF.
My favorite Spurs memories are Dirk's And One, The Fish That Saved LA, Rod Strickland's errant pass and Hakeem Olajuwon curbstomping the Admiral.

    Good times!

    5. Comeback to beat the Jazz: Down 0-2 in the series, the young Mavs win 3 straight. Dirk owns Malone. Calvin Booth hits a clutch shot and gets a big ass contract for it.
Finley in that Game 5 was awesome. That was the closest Finley ever came to Michael Jordan. With Dirk and Nash choking, Finley started pulling up for like 26-footers to bring the Mavs back.

Dirk was in street clothes for that one, dude.

Edit: Ah, you're talking about the Utah game, not the G5 against the Spurs when he kept the Mavs alive in 03.

Pretty sad that your fondest memory is a Spurs' mental error.

I guess if Bowen didn't play such ty defense Manu wouldn't have made a mental error.

Right, which is why the Spurs corrected Manu's mistake and made it up in overtime.

Funny how some Spurs fans live vicariously through the 2006 Miami Heat in order to convince themselves that their suckass team was the rightful champs that year.

Hey, your team was better than the Spurs that year. I'm over it. At least we took it to seven.

What's funny is that Mavs fans generally don't give a about the Spurs. Which team has four les and which team has an empty trophy case again? Seems like you guys have a bit of an inferiority complex going, which seems strange, because I've always preferred the Hill Country to North Texas.

    Hey, just havin some fun.

I really don't know what hurt worse, the Derek Fisher .4 shot or Dirk's "and one". I think I threw up a little in my mouth after both shots.

Yeah, I just said that, this is the NBA section of a Spurs board. If I want to talk about the Spurs, I'll mosey on over to the Spurs section and discuss whether Mighty Mouse or Jacque Vaughn should get the backup PG minutes.

You really diss this site and what Kori has created as "just a Spurs board."

Good point. CaptMike obviously doesn't think much of this place.

His attempt to diss Mavs fans bombed worse than, well, you know.

I don't remember Mavs fans starting Mavs-Spurs talking in this thread.

It was a nice celebration of the Mavericks in a Basketball News Forum until Spurs fans decided to troll it.

My best Mavs memory was Game 1 of the Nba finals, we looked so good in that game, the crowd was so hype, the players were fired up. It was a great atmosphere with Joy and Hope flowing. One day we will return to the finals...

    Fair enough.

Back to topic. I remember a game against Magic and the Lakers in 1990 where the Mavs came back and won, possibly in overtime. It was just a regular season game but it was one of those memorable performances for a team that was having the first of many rotten years. I heard someone on GAC mention that game this season; it was interesting to find out that I wasn't the only one who remembered that game, though I don't remember the details.

Dirk's game winning shot against Marion was pretty cool.

I actually missed the "and one". I was bar-b-queing (word?) and went out back thinking the game was over. Then I came back in and there was suddenly a couple minutes left in overtime.
