(Tony a marqué 26 points).

► Tony Parker a marqué 26 points face à Phoenix
    Here's a quick translation:

After a crazy contest, San Antonio prevails over Phoenix in Game 1 after double overtime.

Tony, you could say you've just returned from
It's true, it was a crazy game. We started the game really poorly. To make things worse, I took a knee to the head from Stoudemire right at the beginning of the game. I was really shaken up. I should have been examined. I had blurred vision and I didn't feel well. The game has been over for an hour now and I still have a terrible headache.

Getting back to the match, we were messing everything up. We were down 13 points at the break. In the second half, we fought like crazy and at the end of the 4th, we tied it at the last second to send it into overtime. Finally, we were able to break away after 2 overtimes.

Finley tied it with his 3 pointer at the end of the 4th but the most incredible shot was Tim's shot from behind the arc to send you to the 2nd overtime.

Sometimes, you experience some incredible games. This was one of them. Tim hit his first 3 of the season at the right moment. With his 40 points, you witnessed the great Tim Duncan. The Duncan that can be a difference maker all by himself. We needed him because we were really poor on offense.

This series, the toughest of the first round, couldn't have started better.
It's good for morale and for our confidence. But we know that this series will be long and hard. Phoenix is a very good team and they showed it tonight. We have enough playoff experience to know that there's a long road ahead. We're not getting too worked up about this win. We're already thinking about game 2.

What do you think about your performance in this game?
For someone playing with a terrible headache, I've nothing to complain about. (Tony scored 26 points)

A rare occurrence, you left the game in the 2nd overtime after fouling out. Did you feel like you abandoned the team?
No, not at all. It's probably been way too long since I've fouled out of a game (i.e. he was due). Since there was only 1.5 min left to play, I felt the guys could get the job done. Bruce came in for me and things worked out well. He defended Nash well and Manu scored the game winner.

I was wondering during the game if Tony was still affected by the impact he took. Tony was going for a loose ball and wham, he and Amare collided and Tony just lay there on the floor.

I could easily see where that type of collision would concuss him at the back of his head.

I have to think Parker will be cleared to play. The danger comes in if he gets another concussion. That's when the doctors will step in and try to shut him down. One concussion where he was still able to play is unlikely to force an NBA player to miss a game in the playoffs.

French speaker here. Nice translations above.

I wondered about TP. He seemed o get it going in the second half though. I'm happy to hear it was the blow to the head and not a lack of confidence. For being concussed, he did knock down some sweet shots in the second half.

Rest of TP. We need you.

It was kinda scary to hear Tony talk about the blow to the head and how seriously it affected him! Thank goodness he was ok and was able to play through the blinding headache. It's good this was an early game and they now have 2 days before they have to play again. Eva needs to give him lots of TLC!

In the second half I thought Parker played with an extra amount of calmness and relaxation. Thinking back on it, perhaps he was just woozy

Last year we had to hear about what a warrior Steve Nash was because he played a few minutes with a cut nose that his trainer was too stupid to fix properly.

If Nash ever played 7/8 of a game with a concussion, he'd be the first Canadian to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Parker probably won't get a single column out of it.

A very good game, nevertheless, for Parker. I hope he is alright.

If this had happened to the Suns, well...

He were fine.Every player have an impact when they are playing.
The reason was the Suns began to play like all the teams against TD and Parker had find more easy the way to the hoop.
All the teams put 2 men on TD.The Suns didn't do it in the first half (They think Shaq can stop TD) so Tim could score easy but his teammates never were open like they usually were against every NBA team.
But in the second half the Suns were looking more to TD so TP only had to take the pick and he find clear the way to the hoop. That's the reason why TP was better in the second half.
But anyway Nash was the best PG on the court. He is old, maybe he's not the better PG of the league right now,Parker is much better scorer but Nash had the control of the game.Only the miracle of Finley and TD give us chance to get the game.

    translation:

    * tony, you came back from in this game ?

It's true. it was a crazy game. We had a very bad start. To make it worse, i took the knee of Stoudemire in the head in the begin of the game. I was knocked out. I had to have medical examination. i didn't see clearly. i wasn't fine. The game is over for an hour and i still got a headache.
We were missing a lot. But we found a way to come back and we didn't give up.

    * Finley made a huge 3 but the one from Tim was incredible ?

Sometimes, games are just going crazy. Tim made his first 3 of the season at the right time. With his 40 pts, we've seen a big Tim. THE tim who is able to change a game alone. We needed him tonight because we were struggling tonight

    * This serie, which is the big battle of the first round of the PO, begins well ?

It's good for confidence. But we know this serie will be long and hard. Phoenix is a very good team, the showed it tonight. We've got enough experience in PO to know there's a long way to go. We're not getting mad, we're already focused on the second game.

    * Personnally, what do you think about your game ?

Well, considering the hurt at the head, it wasn't so bad. (tony scored 26 pts)

    * Very rare thing, you were fouled out in the 2nd OT. Didn't you feel like giving up your teamates ?

Not at all. It was a very long time it didn't happen to me. But there was only 1'30 to play, i knew my teamates could finish the game. Bruce came in and it worked. He defended well on Nash and Manu made the game winner.

    from the az republic:

    link

    Battered and bruised

Parker sported a welt on the left side of his head, the result of a collision with Amaré Stoudemire's knee on the first play.

"My whole game my head was pounding and pounding," Parker said. "It was like a big headache. Sometimes it was like I didn't know where I was."

Team doctors checked Parker's eyes and neck in the locker room. He finished with 26 points and five assists.

So he was seeing double everytime he tried to defend the 3 point shooters and fouled them instead right?

    Amen.

    +10000000

That's a ing STUD game from Parker. I've been waiting for someone to give recognition.

"darkness; headache; didn't know where I was; sore neck" -- that's a full on concussion.
