That's not even remotely true. The Spurs, aside from Duncan, didn't come out with any intensity on either end of the floor. , they couldn't even secure rebounds in the first quarter. They managed to play decent defense while dribbling the ball off their feet, standing around and taking terrible shots. If they started getting some calls it's because they started getting aggressive. That was a lazy start and they were lucky to come away with a victory. If they actually play 48 minutes of basketball they can beat anybody. If they'd played the first ten minutes of the game, they wouldn't have had to play more than 48 minutes of basketball.
EDIT: Went back and watched the first quarter. Finley charge, Parker got too deep under the basket and threw it to Shaq, Parker travel, Duncan behind the back out of bounds, Bowen shot blocked, KT dribbled off his foot. There's six of the eight turnovers in the first quarter and none of them looked like fouls to me.
