Unlike Scola, Oberto lifts his game in the playoffs.

Even if that means playoff Oberto = Scola all the time.

Roxs is going to be swept man.. mark my words
hey don't get me wrong, I have a standing bet with that Argspursfan idiot that the Rockets won't make it past the second round. As it turns out, that bet looks like its going to be settled long before that time.

Still, this whole bashing Scola for no apparent reason is equally as idiotic as the people that keep following his every move as if he was still a Spur.

His individual defense in the playoffs (when it really matters) has been well below average. He is not some 22 year rookie out of college - he should have been a little better on D. The offensive foul was at the worst possible time and probably doomed his team's season (keep in mind a three pointer was shot and made tying the game).

Luis is a nice player, but the absense of Yao has really shown his best qualities (good scorer) and worst qualities (d league quality defender due to a lack of size and quickness). He will probably not improve tremendously as a defender. He is what he is.

That kind of defense would have had his butt on the bench in crunch time in SA (he would have helped us here no doubt but he wanted more minutes that SA would have provided).

    "doomed his team's season"

Not doomed, hastened the inevitable end.

The Rockets never had a chance against the Jazz. Now they go to SLC to be swept. Not Scola's fault. I'm not sure Rafer and Yao would have made much difference.

Can't we finally stop beating this poor horse?

Yes, Scola would be nice to have on the Spurs bench. But he's not. He is in Houston. And will most likely stay there.

I agree with McGrady assessment of the call saying it was horrible. This is the playoffs man. There were a million other more physical plays in that game that didn't get called, and to blow the whistle at that point was really cheap and totally screwed the rockets.
In my opinion it wasn't Scola's fault. He was out there playing hard like everyone else, and was just part of an unfortunate situation.

Scola on our bench instead of Bonner would make the Spurs much better. Period.

I've been very impressed by Scola in these 2 games. Is he Tim Duncan? Uh duh, no he's not. But this is his first NBA playoff series and he's been playing against one of the NBA's best interior teams without his center and I think he's doing pretty well.

I wish to he was on the Spurs where he should be. Or do you prefer Horry's current game?

That offensive foul he picked up that robbed Houston of a late, game-tying three may finally end up being the beginning of their season's end.

Dropping one home game is bad enough, but dropping both is like a death sentence.

I still would've liked to see him on the Spurs...but this helps.

That was a BS call and you know it. Adleman said why make that game altering call at the end of the game? Let the players decide not the officials.

Or how about not miss point blank layups, and get more than 5 freakin rebounds.

AK47 flopped like a little on that call, but Scola was a dumbass for even sticking his arm out like that. The game would've been tied, and Houston would still have had a good chance to win it. That doesn't matter now...get out the broom...Jazz in 4.

What game did you see? He played well, in fact he was one of the reasons that the rockets stayed close in the 4th. You mean by that off foul? It was a flop by ak47.
Flop sales job all the way and sorry the ref bought it.
But it was vet AK outsmarting Scola who took the bait.

I don't know who is more of an idiot. The people here that obsess about Scola doing well on the Rockets, or the jackasses that obsess about him doing bad...

Truth is, this obsession can no longer be attributed to just the Scola nut huggers. No longer can you idiots use the excuse "I'm just tired of Scola homers bringing this up". Its become quite clear that the idiocy is shared now.

by the way, this thread is called a "premature ejaculation" thread. What if Scola does well in the next game of the series? The next chapter of this epic saga of stupidity will unfold, and most likely no one will eat the crow they so richly deserve.
Whott is an specialist in that field, we should let him make a final call on this business.
