Lovely, TPark.
Do you hate everyone and everything?
You are one piece of work...a real joy to be around, you must really be miserable, really.

How many times has Duncan missed the playoffs or got swept out of the playoffs or didn't get to at least the second round?
Now how about Shaq?
Thanks.
Shaq was dominant in only a couple of years--and that domination was simply because the refs and the league let Shaq muscle his way through the league. If the fouls had been called as they should have been, Shaq would never have finished a game.
But he was the new superstar with a good gift of gab at the time when the league needed a fresh face.
Duncan over Shaq without question.
Shaq was just an all-inside player with no perimeter game ans is unreliable at the free-throw line. TD can play both the high and low-post and is a much better defensive player.
Duncan will win another 3 les, Shaq is done
Duncan's teams have never missed the playoffs, and made the second round every time Duncan played [without Duncan, the Spurs lost 3-1 in round one vs the Suns in 2000]
Only once, has Duncan been swept out of the playoffs [Western Conference Finals 2001]
Shaq's team missed the playoffs in 1993.
Shaq was swept out of the playoffs in 1994 (Pacers - 1st round), 1995 (Rockets), 1996 (Bulls), 1998 (Utah), 1999 (Spurs), 2007 (Bulls - 1st round).
In 2008, Shaq's Miami was out of the playoffs when he was traded.
Nuff said.
Not to mention the destruction Shaq has brought to every one of the franchises he has joined.
The Magic sucked royally after Shaq left for LA, mainly because they got nothing in return. LA got into a few years of mediocrity after Shaq asked Buss to pay him and Buss refused, and Miami .... they were just stupid.
Duncan has always worked with management, and even though he almost left the Spurs for the Magic, he elected to stay loyal and never caused any issues with getting paid (note him willingly taking less $ to give the Spurs financial flexibility)
I'd dispute the notion that Duncan wasn't as dominant as Shaq, too. Duncan wasn't as spectacularly dominant as Shaq was, but there's also no doubt that Tim was identical to Shaq to the extent that he commanded double-teams on virtually every possession and still managed to shred defenses even when the double came, either with his own score or with his ability to pass and find a teammate. On top of that, Duncan was (and is) among the most dominating defenders of this era (and perhaps among the dominant defenders ever), making him a dominating player on both ends of the floor, which I'm not sure has ever really been true for Shaq.
Shaq is steak and sizzle. Duncan has pretty much been all steak.
Shaq is steak with a lot of gristle. Duncan is pretty much all steak.
Another way of putting it in another way.
Duncan is a fine steak from a top rate steakhouse. Shaq is a big fatty slab of meat from the discount grocery store.
Yet another way of putting it another way.
The fact that Shaq has been swept 6 times counts heavily against him.
