Not that it really matter much but it's kind of interesting though Manu is the only one on that list (other than Mitc ) that isn't a two time All Star or anything. I think he still has a little bit of time.

With that team on the floor, we would still defend, OK maybe not so much, but who could stop the Spurs from scoring?
Four of those guys are top notch defenders. All you have to do is tell Ice to force his man baseline and you've got the best defensive Spurs team ever.

No Ice???? That is totally moronic

They are asking who are greatest Spurs of all time.
Ice > Manu or TP There is not a player today in the NBA that could keep Ice from averaging 30 pts a game.
Remember, he averaged over that back when hand checking was legal.
I think that if Manu and Tony play their entire NBA careers in SA they are going to get a bigger status among spurs fans than Gervin
I feel like those who left out Dirk_is_my_daddy_Dirk_is_my_daddy_Dirk_is_my_daddy _Dirk_is_my_daddy_Dirk_is_my_daddy_Dirk_is_my_dadd y_ weren't around when he played. He was as much a Spur as anyone else on that list.
I don't get that ? Why does that even happen.
I would disagree. They might achieve similar status but never bigger. Without Gervin, Parker and Ginobili still have great careers but not in San Antonio because the Spurs would be elsewhere or not at all.
cmon, im curious
Cadillac Anderson
Dwayne Schintzius
Carl Herrera
J.R. Reid
Brad Lohaus
The mods still have that little javascript that turns Elliott (if you leave of one of the t's) into that Dirk=ShawnKemp thingy.
ahhh I see, I am misspelling his name!
Considering he used to be my favorite player growing up, I should be ashamed![]()
That would be my rationale.
You almost have to have Robinson and Gervin on the list, no matter what. That's like leaving Hank Aaron and Dale Murphy off of a Braves list, for example.
USAToday listing Robertson, Kenon and Mitc but not Bowen is a joke. Bowen and Elliott are the sixth and seventh best players in Spurs history. It's tough saying who is better but I think Bowen gets the nod due to the championships.
At least Steve Kerr didn't make their top ten![]()
looks like the big three will make it.
I also think Bruce should be on the list!
And I find it rather interesting that some people even here are not choosing Manu in the top five. How is that possible? I don't know.
Because a lot of us choose to give George Gervin his proper respect by putting him in the top five. The guy is in the Hall of Fame, won 4 scoring les, made 5 All-NBA first teams and was a 12-time all-star. He also was the face of this franchise for the first 15 years of its existence and a big reason why the Spurs stayed in SA and was brought into the NBA.
