No, I'm more concerned with the 16 mile training run I'm about to do for the upcoming Rio de Janeiro International Marathon in June. Then I'm concerned about more real world issues like a commodities deal I'm hoping to close tomorrow.

As for the Spurs, its basketball and entertainment and the world keeps spinning. I hope they win game 2 and beyond, but I don't get paid to do more than hope. I certainly don't get paid to be concerned about something that won't affect my life in any way whatsoever.

Having said all that, Go Spurs!

Honestly, I am. Well I actually am a sissy when it comes to this kind of thing. Like I actually choose to underestimate the Spurs feeling that it actually helps them out and I love being proven wrong by them.

But these Hornets are a different animal. The Spurs better play consistent Spurs ball if they want to win this series. I am concerned that the team has not addressed what has been needed to be addressed from the regular season.

Pop getting worked by Byron Scott is shades of 2006 Avery all over again.
I'm still confident the players can overcome old Coatails but yes, it's a concern.

No. Tim played horrible, West played out of his mind, and were still in it @ NO for most of the game, I'm not worried, I expect Duncan to play great on Game 2. Spurs will win next game.

considering it was an 8 pt game late in the 4th quarter....Duncan played like Kwame Brown, the Spurs couldn't buy a shot in the second half, especially from the outside, the Spurs couldn't rebound to save their lives, and the Hornets mascot and shot clock operator helped to take momentum away from the Spurs.....no, I am not concerned at all, as far as the series goes. I picked the Spurs in 6, and I will stick by my prediction.

I will say though, that I am concerned with West. We had no answer for him in game 1. I am not sure what adjustments we will make for Game 2, but I totally trust Pop.

BTW...why is Chris Paul such a punk. He puts the ball into Bowen's sac during the season, and Bowen reacts like any guy would, he retaliates, kicking Paul, getting suspended and ending his consecutive games streak. Then last night, Paul flops when Bowen barely touches him and tries to draw a technical. In fact, anytime Bowen was near him, Paul would try to sell calls just to get the refs to bite....it was quite pathetic actually. Paul is such an instigating little punk.

Not yet. Too many times I've seen the Spurs drop the first game of a series and then come storming back.

If Duncan just gives 50% last night, we would have been fine. If he gave 70% we probably win the thing.

Our problem last night was Duncan failing to show up for the game. Hopefully he gets over whatever his problem is and starts playing instead of crying to the refs every trip down the court. Never, ever thought I would see a playoff game like this out of Duncan.

Been said many times. Duncan took a dump in game 1. It happens. Even the best players have a cluster of a game sometimes.

Watch for Timmy to go for 20 and 20 in game 2.

Duncan isn't going to get 20,20 unless Tyson is in foul trouble.

    worried after game 1?
    It's too soon for that.

But I definitely don't like the way the second half played out last night.

No I'm not concered. TD didn't get into the game - cudos to NO for that - and the adjustments that come in game 2 will be telling. If game 2 is the same as game 1 then there is reason for concern. If the Spurs get back to their type of game then I think we get a split. All I wanted was to win one game in NO. Then that would put the pressure on the Hornets and now we see how they respond.

Poll needs to be taken after game 2.

I'm concerned, but even if we lose there's still the 08 master plan, this was just a rebuilding year, or something

i'll get concerned when pop starts running all sorts of line ups at NO like he did in 06 against Dallas.
i'll get concerned when the spurs covert -albeit sometimes overt- dirty playing doesn't effect NO anymore
i'll get concerned when there is a real reason, not when they lose a game that they should lose. Spurs can't go undefeated they know it, we know it, let's move on to game 2.

Spurs lost one game. They are expected to lose another somewhere in this series and win the series 4-2. Until they are in an 0-3 hole, I'm not gonna worry.

I'm not concerned at all....had Timmy scored 19 pts with 11 rebounds and we lost like that, I would definitely be concerned...but we all know THAT wasn't the case.

    Let's go Game 2.

Tyson can't check Duncan and Scott knows it. HE is going to double him like crazy all series long. It is up to Timmy to play smart through the double teams, get in better positions on the floor to catch the ball and up to the Spurs to hit open shots when available playing off the double teams.

Yeah, not the first time they've lost the first game. Now need to roll off 4 in a row. This series was not going to be a sweep. I was hoping for 5 games though.
