Doubt and giving up are two different things. Gary Cooper in "High Noon" had doubt but he didn't give up. In fact, not giving up even when you doubt is the hardest (and best) thing you can do.
In others words, doubt doesn't mean weakness.
Exactly! Show´s how inexperienced the local beat writers are in covering playoff basketball, I suppose. For one thing, Gregg Popovich ALWAYS shows humility after games and countless times he´s said exactly "they kicked our butts" or "they physically kicked our asses". Give me a break. Nobody is quitting, nobody has doubts.
I hope this article is blown up and placed in the Spurs´locker room. But then again, as if the Spurs could really care what sports writers think of them.![]()
I don't get it. Giving up already? What's with you and people like you anyway? So we're down and not playing well and we need to make adjustments. I thought real fans get behind their team and never give up. The Spurs may not win this series and if they continue to play this way then that will happen but to give up now? Two home game wins and it's all even. Sports are fickle and little things can turn around an entire series. Did you really think the Giants would win the Super Bowl when the NFL playoffs began? I for sure didn't even think they would get past Green Bay much less to the Super Bowl. Very few did but look what happened.
Disappointed in our performace so far is to be expected. Pissed off that we're down 0-2 and not playing Spurs BB is inderstandable.
GIVING UP ON THE SPURS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
