The NBA covers all of the expenses short of strip club bills for these guys... and $100,000 is about the minimum for a ref. If you've worked 10+ years you're probably a lot closer to the $300,000 range than the $100,000 one.
check in with me, and do your job

Boo ing hoo... refs have to pay taxes like the rest of us.
wow you are so completely clueless, its pathetic.
They don't spend a dime when they are on the road. They expense everything.
too much cajun sauce done ed up your brain!
WERD...back in the day, I used to travel all the time as a DOD contractor...100K+ miles a year...Uncle Sam picked up the tab for EVERYTHING...I ate a lot of steak dinners and sushi when I was traveling...per diem FTMFW...
100,00 chump change? Man sign me up for that crappy job.
100K a year?
psssshhh
I got kids to feed jack
No, I don't really see how that follows at all.
I shold go rob a bank or cheat on my taxes because some corporate schmucks make 10 times as much as I do while doing half as much work? There is a serious logical fallacy in your argument.
everyone crying that refs should be happy with their $100k salaries don't understand.
the refs are put in a position in which they can potentially make a LOAD of cash. they have a huge influence on the outcome of nationally broadcast professional sports - an industry through which billions of dollars flow every month.
if you live in the US you must understand the fundamental nature of capitalism. SOMEBODY is willing to pay the refs to bias the game, because they can profit more than they pay the refs. these people could be bookies, individuals betting on games, teams - GMs, owners, the NBA itself, etc.
you think the scandal last year was just some isolated incident? ha!
