And for all of Gasols wonderful skills.... i think he is the softest player in the entire NBA... i mean damn The dude has about 3 inches on Mehmet Okur right under the ring and gets his shot blocked at the rim.

Then a couple times he could have endured just a little bit of banging to seal off his smaller opponent for the entry catch... and hes too scared to lean back and one time the ball gets poked away from him and the other time he was stuck 12 feet from the basket...

Dude is skilled... but damn is he soft.

    Chandler is a beast.
And the other guy that comes at Duncan when he catches, and then the third guy when he puts the ball on the floor.

Gasol is playing great tonight... i just think hes very very soft, but hes a finesse player.

The Lakers are a joke. They got the #1 seed by chance alone. Nuggets and Jazz, the first two rounds don't get any easier than that.

The Lakers will lose in 6 in the WCF's, whether it's against NOH or the Spurs.
I smell jealousy. You don't get #1 seed in one of the toughest conferences ever by chance. Lakers (w/ a healthy Bynum) are on the rise, Spurs...can't say the same.

Who cares...woop-dee-doo. He's a great passer and keeps our offense flowing.
He fits what we do. Hate all you want.

I thought it was "Carlos sucks".

    Would have been more fitting.

Gasol is soft, but combine him with Bynu and Odom and you have the best front line since Bird/Parish/Mchale
While I think Gasol/Bynum will be a deadly frontline, if you think that one is better than the Robinson/Duncan frontline from 99 (figured ya could remember that one since ya posting on a Spurs board), then you are on that dope.

    And that's not even considering the frontlines with a top 5 big and a decent PF (i.e. Hakeem/Thorpe, Shaq/Grant, Shaq/Horry, Ewing/Oakley/Mason, Robinson/Rodman, Hakeem/Barkley/Willis).

Wow Utah fans definitely need some sort of anger management. What a crazed fanbase.

Not sure what they are thinking chanting "REFS SUCK" to Joey Crawford. Not a smart move.

Gasol and Bynum are not better than Duncan and Robinson.

Gasol, Bynum, and Odom are very possibly better than Duncan, Robinson, and Jaren Jackson/Mario Elie/Sean Elliott.

Gasol is soft though, no question about that.

62 pts in the first half on the road in a close out game is CRAZY. Lakers look smooth on offense. Lets finish them off boys

Yeah but I'm not jumping up and whooping it up just yet.

We got this lead in 24 minutes which probably means losing it in 24 is just as possible.

But, damn, they did look good in that first half.

    Not likely..
but let's give them a season or two together before we stat comparing them to those two beasts.

    Gasol/Bynum isn't even better than Webber/Divac.

Why do they keep hyping The WNBA who watches that crap
Stern and his minions keep subsidizing this brand of basketball. I rather clean all the restrooms in Grand Central Station with my tongue than watch snoozer basketball.

By the way, nice time to rollover Jazz.

    LoL...

But the potential is there, at least on paper.
They haven't even played one game together and already the comparisons start.

The Jazz should go off themselves when they lose this by 20+ points in their home floor.

    Pathetic Jazz..

Wow, what a letdown effort so far from the Jazz. They came out like deer in the headlights. They still have time, but look ed as is.
