Tell Paul to go talk to Steve Nash about losing to the Spurs. He can give Paul a few pointers. Nash has a lot of experience.
    LOL

I believe he did walk off without congratulating anyone, but probably because he was about to cry. I'm sure Parker understands. And I'm sure Chris Paul thinks right now that this will be the most devastating loss ever. But there will be more losses (and wins) and he'll grow up.

He's extremely good. There's a lot of things I can't stand about him ... his forearm pushoffs, his dead ball flops and the way he loses his cool. But as soon as he matures, he's going to really dominate the league (as if he didn't already this season).
totally agree. while it is the "mature" thing to do to congratulate your opponent, i can understand why he just needed to leave the court. it would be a different story if he had been a biotch at the end of the game. he just disappeared at the buzzer to go be pissed. tough thing losing to them spurs

Leave him be. He's in for a rough night of "woulda, coulda, shoulda."

If you've ever played sports and wanted to win SO badly, and failed, you understand the pain he's dealing with.

    Why? What does it change?

Kid was pissed, hurt, distraught. Leave him be. He's a compe or.

The game's over. It changes nothing.

And, I guarantee you he'll still be cool with Tony Parker.
Still, grow the up Paul. Deron showed class last year when we exited them.

I still have 0 to no problems with anyone in the Hornets coaching staff nor players, except for Bonzi Wells.

I like Paul and West, and think Byron Scott is a fantastic coach.

No beefs from me with that team.

Everybody hurts. Everybody cares. Doesn't matter. He should be a sportsman.
Different people handle differently. If he's a punk in your eyes, then he's a punk in your eyes. Pretty sure he's not too concerned about your view of him.

OTOH, everyone's en led to one mistake, especially when young. Isiah Thomas was a 30 year old when he walked off the court against the Bulls. Now that was weak.
Definitely weak. But, Isiah didn't do that because he was disappointed or hurt. Isiah did that because he didn't like Michael Jordan. He didn't give a how he was perceived. He was a punk for it. Oh well.

What does it matter? It doesn't. It's just something else for fans to about.

no matter how skilled you are and no matter how many resources you have, you will not succeed without the right at ude. CP3 needs to have the right at ude in order to mature and really grow. Problem with him is he is a hotheaded player. I hope he outgrows that and at the same time, find somebody to look up to ala Pop.

Pain true, but even your elementary school coach teaches you about congratulating and losing gracefully

Yall thought he was a punk already. So what's the big deal if you think he was a punk in defeat?

Last things first, Chris Paul will never know who I am - it's a message board and I'm messaging. I like Chris Paul, on the whole, I just wish he'd respect tradition and congratulate the victors. I don't think he'll do this again.

Definitely weak. But, Isiah didn't do that because he was disappointed or hurt. Isiah did that because he didn't like Michael Jordan. He didn't give a how he was perceived. He was a punk for it. Oh well.
I think you're mostly right, but they also got swept. That had to hurt after always getting over on the Bulls in the playoffs.

While we fans get on SpursTalk and fight with each other, the teams share a much different relationship. The Hornets and Spurs have had a pretty good relationship. Chris Paul and Tony Parker are friends. I'm pretty sure they both understand each other well enough that nothing needs to be said. The Hornets had the world and lost it tonight; I'm sure the Spurs understand.

It became abundently clear in this series that Chris Paul has an achilles heel.

That would be defense and why Deron Williams is currently the best PG in the NBA.

Tony Parker took it to him and ripped him a new asshole tonight. CP3 got a little y with all his accolades and I thought tonight for perhaps the first time since the Lakers had them down by 30 at Staples that his inexperience in big games showed.

    Big deal.

I don't think it makes him a punk. People have a different edge to them. Paul has that edge but I don't think it made him a gracious loser. I think he was shocked they lost so fast.

He's a compe or and he hated losing. He'll probably handle it better as the years go on. this was his first playoffs and they were looking like they were going all the way this year until they ran into Timmy's squad.

    You are 1/3 right.

Both Bird and Bryant have always given props to other players/teams when due. If you polled all NBA players on who the MVP was, Kobe wins it probably unanimously....that is how respected he is by the other players.

    But you knew that right?

Thats not really fair because Parker does that to every team in the NBA. Deron Williams and defense go hand and hand as Nash and defense. Fisher held his own against Deron in the Utah series.
