Check history.
Later rounds usually bring quicker turn-arounds and the 1st game of the next round has traditionally started two days after the preceeding seventh game.
Very interesting article. I'm sure it's a coincidence that there are no extra rest days in this series
Oh and good to see Pop locked up through 2012.

The only thing that matters is that the spurs are playing at this time a month from now.
Great read and great news on Pop extension.

Uh yeah I did check history before I posted. The Spurs got a four day break after Game 2 last year in the WCF. Dallas got two days of rest before going into the WCF in 2006, despite playing in Game 7 against the Spurs.
It would have been nice to get one extra day of rest somewhere in there, but whatever.
There was like a week or 2 week layoff in 01...I rather the short turnaround than the long...given that history. Besides...it's just the Lakers...easiest team we're going to meet in these playoffs.
somebody should email this to the express news so they can show their writers how to create an insightful, interesting story.
Ludden is terrific.
Game 2? Doesn't matter. The league always schedules game one's two days after a series ends. Case in point, the Celtics twice this year. I don't know why the NBA does it because its better for the league to have a seven game series but they don't reward the winner with any rest. I've only seen this in the middle rounds. The only time I've seen the quick turnaround after a series that didn't go seven games was 2006 after the spurs faced the kings on friday and had to go play the mavs on sunday afternoon.
Just the Lakers?
