Great headline, will draw the Spurs haters like flies on sh!t, and trap them in an article that makes the Spurs smell oh so sweet.

Ding ding ding...
i liked it.
you're starting to see more articles like this.
the sportswriters who just flat out call the spurs (or the pistons) boring risk exposing themselves as - at best - just a casual fan who really doesn't understand the game, ball movement, or defense.
I can't imagine Bowen saying stuff like this in an interview...especially the part about dealing with "Certain darlings" in the league."Look at my reputation. It's easy to say, 'He's dirty,' " Bowen said. "But what defines dirty? Because I play defense against a guy whose job is to score on me at will? You don't see me going out hitting anyone, but it's amazing when you deal with certain darlings in the league and the perception that they're supposed to score."
Kornheiser isn't a basketball fan. So when he says he wants to see the Lakers and Celtics, that's casual fan talk. Dude doesn't really give a about who plays. He won't even be awake when the games are played anyway
I hated the Bulls and Yankees for winning all the time too. I totally get where all those bags are coming from. ' em though
This is exactly correct! This is the perfect description of what the Spurs do to you.But the real reason is that the Spurs continue to resemble the old geezers who show up at the YMCA each weekend, yell "Next!" and somehow figure out a way to hold the court against a bunch of uppity kids.
Those old ers at the YMCA used to piss me off....now I'm one of them!
I'm glad so many people hate the Spurs...that's how you know you're a DYNASTY.![]()
That was great..... wow I was waiting for one of these articles to pop up.... and Bruce said it best...
Great read. An anti-Spurs article but written down in a positive way. Uhm. Am I making sense?![]()
All dynasties win back-to-back les. Since the Sterns will never do that, they don't qualify. They're just a team that scooped up the scraps while the great dyansties like the Lakers were rebuilding. But hey, most of those les still count as real les, so you have to give a little respect. They're a better franchise than the Clippers.
Is Boston a dynasty?
This coming from a fan of a team that hasn't won jack since 2002...
The Spurs are a dynasty...even Stern, who hates the Spurs, admitted it.
The 1960's Celtics, who won 11 les in 13 years, are the greatest NBA dynasty ever. That's especially painful for me to admit, since so many of those les came at the expense of the Lakers. You're welcome for this knowledge I'm dropping on you.
Maybe that matters to the historians and debaters that doesn't change the fact that the Spurs are 4 time NBA Champions and have 4 trophys to show for it....no matter how it was done. So continue to talk smack, disrespect, whatever....the bottom line is the Spurs have won as many les this decade as the Lakers. And before the bellowing starts, yesI'm very much aware of the Lakers championship runs in the70's, 80's and part of this decade.![]()
This coming from a SUNS fan trying to post as a Laker fan.
Dude, the "saguaro" and "the sterns" gave it away (arizonasports s). What a dumb chicken SUNS troll.
Excellente! Great article and Bruce's comments were right on. About time someone bothered to ask us who we are rather than taking for granted what others want everyone to believe.
