No kidding. 1995 was our year. It should have been our first le.
We couldn't have beaten the Rockets the way Olajuwon played.

    No ing way.

Plus, Horry and Cassell were clutch

As far as the list goes...not sure about Karl Malone, cause then we would not have landed D-Rob.

    And Spurminator said it best:

    1 - 0.4
    2 - Dirk's three-point play
3 - Losing to Bullets after building 3-1 series lead in 1979
4 - Hakeem tearing Spurs up in 1995
5 - Losing Game 1 of 1996 WCSF by 20 against the Jazz at home (and Game 3 by 30)
6 - Tim Duncan unable to play in 2000 Playoffs
7 - Lakers beating Spurs 8 games out of 9 in 2001 and 2002 Playoffs
    8 - Rod Strickland's errant pass in 1990
    9 - Losing to 7th seeded Warriors in round 1, 1992

Hon mention? Losing by 1 to the Lakers in Game 6 of 1983 WCF at home after winning in LA to force Game 6.
Much better list. Most Spur fans could care less that we didn't get Karl Malone.

Except everyone is forgetting what is definitely a top-3 Worst Moment for the old-timers. Two words: Brian Taylor.

In game 5 of the 1976 ABA Semifinals vs. the Nets, with the series tied 2-2 George Gervin comes down with a key late-game rebound that seems to give the Spurs the last-second shot. Only Brian Taylor reaches from behind him and bats the ball out of his arms, the Nets score and win by two points. The Spurs argue that Taylor had a foot out of bounds when he swiped the ball from Gervin, but referee Norm Drucker doesn't make the call. Later replays (this was before any kind of live TV broadcasts for pro hoops) show Taylor was definitely out of bounds.
