Really? Is that what you're resorting to?

I just moved back to Texas after having lived in Los Angeles for three years. Los Angeles is a cool place, but was maybe just too big for my tastes (in fact, San Antonio is a little too big for my liking as well). I grew to actually like their team because they got a nice core of players to surround Kobe that weren't a bunch of y s like the group circa 2000-2004. I finally realized that the fans showing up to a game during the second quarter or fourth inning (Dodger games) isn't because they like to be "fashionably late" like ESPN tells us, but because traffic really does suck that bad there.

A lot of my best friends are Laker fans. We can actually discuss basketball.

It's fans like this guy, though, that give the fan base of the Lakers a bad name.

I have a video on youtube (in my sig) that solicited a youtube private message from a Laker fan the other day that said "your mom just sucked my ." Nice. Um....okay?

To my fellow Spurs fans: not ALL Laker fans are like these people. Some -- I would even say MOST -- are actually really cool. They just don't post on message boards and things of that nature.

Even if the Spurs lose this series, I'm glad that we'll have a renewed rivalry with them. We ended their dynasty and they've already upset our chances at a repeat once (2004). Next season, they'll get Bynum back and we should have Splitter and a bit of a "youth movement" in a few positions. The games should be even better.

Sadly, their fan base will always be represented by a few people saying, "ask your mom, she say's my is bigger" when, in fact, the majority are actually good people.
