And what free agent in their right mind wants to go to Memphis?
The Grizzlies should just be dissolved from the league. It's pretty clear those guys in Memphis have no ing clue how to run a basketball franchise.

“Is anybody jumping on Bufford in San Antonio because he traded that center to Houston for virtually nothing?” Heisley wondered.
....Fixed.
Spurs traded Scola for a few millon bucks is the truth. Now the cool aid drinkers on this board will have you believe Scola wasn't worth a dime and that the few millon bucks was a steal for the spurs.
IMO Buford has turned into a joke who will ride the manu parker picks for as long as he can. When the league runs out of Old guys for Pop to recruit then Buford will be shown the door.
Players sign for all different kinds of reasons. It could potentially equate to Memphis being about to afford two role player to compliment Gay and Jr. Plus whoever they draft and so on. It doesn't have to be a star level name to be considered a success. There are players out there that would sign. The team has a bright future and the cap space to fill out the roster.
It was a salary dump.
Congratulations, you finally got your number one pick, and you're so incompetent you chose the worst one in the last fifteen years and it only cost you one of the best players in the league.
Yes,I did.
And Unfortunely,it happened exactly what i though It would happened when the spurs were to face a team with a good front court like the lakers have.
I was wishing we had Scola helping out Timmy in the paint for the whole series.
And on top of that Spliter is gone now.
I wasn´t that wrong after all about the spurs FO ups and the way they negociate with players.
Now, if you think about it,maybe Scola was willing to come to SA and give up minutes and money,It was just the Spurs FO who couldn't get it done.
Time is proving me right on that subjet.
Hopefully the Spurs can pickup a decent FA big this summer, otherwise we're ed...................again.
