The le of the thread should read..."The Spurs NeedED James Posey Four Years Ago"...while he is a nice role player, once again he is too old & wants too much money...I agree with the people saying it is hypocritical to want Posey, but yet we must "get younger"
, why would Posey give up his player option (3.4mil) when he can stay and defend the le there? No way he leaves Boston unless he gets an outrageously overpriced offer from some other team.
And anyway, yeah, we need youth. Love Posey's game, but not right now for the Spurs. If he wanted to come here after next year and take over Bruce's spot during the transition to younger players, fine, but once again, why would he? He'll probably finish his career a Celtic.
posey would definitely be a great pic k up but i think hes under contract for another 2 years.
I believe I started this Posey thing a few days back...
unfortunately, if the Celts win this championship, I doubt if they would ever consider letting him go.

he can opt out and become a FA......which i expect he will do to get more money
You think Posey will really get more than $3M on the open market? I don't. He a piece of the puzzle, with no great value to any team that isn't a legit championship contender. His career is also wildly inconsistent. He's had three complete seasons where he's shot below 38% from the field, and one where he shot 48%. Which Posey are you getting?
