If I am not mistaken doesnt the shot go through the basket with around .8 seconds left? Unless the shot had been an airball the time the ball took to bounce and then fall into someones hand would have expired the clock.

Perhaps the professional basketball players on the Spurs actually know what they are doing and realized that even if he missed the shot there was little to no chance for a put back.

Then again they only do this for a living. They are only one of the best rebounding teams year in and year out. They only have one of the best trasitions defenses in the history of the NBA. Pop is only one of the best coaches in the league. I am sure none of them actually know what they are doing. Preach on brother!

If the ball bounces off the rim, the half is over.

There is only .5 left on the clock when it goes through the net.

If it goes off the rim at any angle that Duncan or parker could get to, the don't get a finger on it before the buzzer goes off.

In the postgame interview, Tony said the Spurs knews they had to do well on the rebounding, especially by 1,2,3 positions, which got 16 rebounds, led by Tony with 10, as the Spurs were +6 in RBs, which shows how much the Spurs wanted this game, which is what team RBs indicate, desire more than anything else.
