did S.A. gave TP standing ovation like Manu?
yeah, not a good time for the key 1st year players to hit the wall tomorrow but these new guys break the mold.I don't think they're even worried about it but rather Hill, Mason and Tolliver are going to bring back the "game within a game" we used to have, because to me they're really playing right now for the big 3 who are watching: Tony, Timmy and Manu. Mason, Hill and Tolliver swing that way, almost like they've set personal goals of what they want to do, and that focus is reenergizing our D and motion offense.
Just who's doing the guiding for the new guys right now in the Spur's organization?![]()
did S.A. gave TP standing ovation like Manu?
Exactly.
The Old Spurs fell asleep during games.
The New Spurs keep the team constantly hungry.
It seemed like a setup for a typical Spurs loss in that Memphis was playing well and hanging around and the Spurs couldn't put them away.
Then there came the key steal by Manu and Mason, Hill, and Manu on the break resulting in the Hill offensive putback and 1.
Last year, that would have been Manu, Finley, and Bowen on the break and the ball bouncing off somebody's leg.
I really think the injury to TP and Manu are a blessing in disguise. And no, we dont want anymore blessings for now thank you!
It was Mason, Hill and Udoka on the break and it wasn't an offensive rebound it was a pass from Udoka![]()
I'm curious to see this roster against the better teams in the league.
Houston may be a b2b, but these next few games should be a good barometer for this team.
That was two beers ago.![]()
two...???
4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal.
If Memphis can get their defense on point and get some front court scoring out of Gasol and Darko that team can be pretty good. Gay and Mayo are f'n electric if you give them an inch of daylight.
The Spurs may now finally have enough offense to keep role players like Udoka, Bonner, and Thomas from feeling pressure and forcing offense. The role players have looked comfortable over the last couple, and 50+ bench points is looking excellent.
Kurt Thomas, George Hill, Roger Mason, Parker, Ginobili, Udoka were all damn damn damn good tonight.
Hope England keeps working with hill on that jumper, he could be damn near unstoppable if he can get that down. Its a good form, its just not consistent enough...
