The Hack-a-shaq did work. The point isnt to hope Shaq misses his FT's, its to disrupt the other Suns players offense. Take them out of the equation for a while and their offense stagnates.

Just look at the point differential in the 4th quarter.

    spurs 20, suns 14

    Thank you.

    Someone gets it...

    Good shot Mason.

It was nice to get the win at the buzzer like that, but honestly this win is nothing to get excited about. I feel we should have had the game put away by the start of the 4th. We missed so many easy shots. The Spurs are probably the worst team in the league at putting easy buckets in.... Phoenix is just another average easy team on the schedule, like Minnesota, Sacramento, the Lakers, or Charlotte...a team we're expected to beat and we did. So, nothing to celebrate big about. The Spurs have been winning games like this for years. Again, nothing to get excited about.

Merry GD Christmas to the pansy-ass Suns.

Wow! What a finish. I can't stop laughing - and it's been 45 mins since the game ended.

If he wasn't already, Mase is DEFINITELY a Spur now.

Spurs overtook both the setting Suns and the refs with Mase's clutch dagger 3-ball.

And to Spork Killer - GAFL. There's your holiday gift. Special delivery courtesy of Mase.

Now that's what I call a Christmas present!

If Stern is really a legit guy, then he will look into the refs officiting travesty on this game.

It could not get much more obvious that the refs were being unfair to the Spurs..on both ends of the court.

If I didn't know better I would've thought Tim Donaghy and Joey Crawford were working this game!

    Yeah ES!

I agree with this. When Amare was getting owned by Timmy, the Spurs should have taken advantage of those extra possessions. Tony and Manu almost blew it:

    2:47 Phoenix full timeout 88-87
2:32 Tony Parker misses 26-foot three point jumper
    2:31 Tim Duncan offensive rebound
2:09 Tim Duncan lost ball (Shaquille O'Neal steals)
1:53 Amare Stoudemire misses 5-foot jumper
    1:52 Tim Duncan defensive rebound
1:52 Jumpball: Tim Duncan vs. Shaquille O'Neal (Kurt Thomas gains possession)
1:31 Jason Richardson personal foul (Manu Ginobili draws the foul)
1:27 Manu Ginobili misses 7-foot jumper
    1:25 Shaquille O'Neal defensive rebound
    1:09 Amare Stoudemire misses layup
    1:08 Tim Duncan defensive rebound
    1:01 Tony Parker misses jumper
    1:00 Jason Richardson defensive rebound
1:00 Tony Parker technical foul (1st technical foul)
1:00 Steve Nash makes technical free throw 88-88
    0:49 Amare Stoudemire misses layup
    0:48 Tim Duncan defensive rebound
    0:29 Tony Parker misses layup
    0:28 Shaquille O'Neal defensive rebound
    0:24 Phoenix full timeout
    0:07 Phoenix 20 Sec. timeout
0:04 Grant Hill makes layup (Amare Stoudemire assists) 88-90
0:04 San Antonio full timeout 88-90

Tied for 3rd in the West now...not good enough, we should be 1st in the West. Since we'll sweep the season series with L.A. this season, we can afford to be a few games behind for now. We avenged that B.S. win that Phoenix had over us opening night. Time to avenge the B.S. Milwaukee loss this Monday.

Two things, Karma and poor defensive rotations. Even with my orange glasses, I couldn't miss the homecourt calls Pho was getting at the end. The ending suprised me but if pho won, I wouldn't feel that good about it since it was close and the officiating was bad.

phoenix needs to run more, they have like no easy basket right now, that's why they only scored 14 points in teh 4th. At the beginning when they were running, they were on a 9-0 run.

Perhaps. Their interiour d has improved somewhat but they still can't deal with the pick and roll well and miss rotations left and right.

Honestly, I'm a Spurs fan but I come in here and act like a troll to get y'all fired up. Otherwise, why would my posts be so weak and unoriginal?

The only thing that would have made this better was if Steve Javie was one of the refs.
