Nice win. Parker looks to be back to 100% healthy. He was there before his ankle injury against the Heat. I think he's just now all the way back physically. His speed and ability to change direction is in peak form right now.
Let's hope he's in this shape come the playoffs.

Another routine win here, not much to get excited about, the only positive out of this is that it's a win against a .500+ team....the only area needing improvement since we are I believe 17-16 vs. .500 teams. But again, nothing to get excited about, the Spurs have always beaten the Suns, we just went out there, did what we had to do, and won. Should be an easy week, there aren't any challenging teams coming up this week.
Grant Hill WTF ???
he looks like a ballerina in this pic
EDIT: or a traffic cop
i know it looks that way...but look back over the past few years and you'll see that a lot of the time, the regular season results did not predict the Finals compe ors very well.
things get real different in the playoffs. ask the mavs. ask the pistons. ask the suns.
I feel a bit sorry for the Suns...except for Shaq...i hope this is 0-4 streak is karma biting him in his fat ass for all the hate he's been spewing of late.
Grant Hill
"I'll just practice my ballerina moves while Tony shoots..."
The Spurs were just shooting some shots...just beating a team they were supposed to beat...no surprises there.![]()
I wish it would have been a blowout but oh well.. parker was a killer out there. Good game!
Parker's looking confident, but he's looking for his shot way too much lately. I'm glad at least that all of his pull up 22 footers are going in. At some point he needs to do a better job of getting the rest of the offense involved. He's seemed a tad ballhoggy lately, and I don't think it's intentional.
Mason should not be the backup point guard. If we're going to have to get someone running the point that isn't very good at it, I'd rather have Hill or Vaughn doing it. Udoka showed some promise in the preseason running the point, and he seems to play better when he's feeling involved. Using any of them at point frees up Roger as a shooting weapon, because he moves better around screens than he does with the ball.
Why do all the brothas hate Louie Amandson (sp?) so much?
Running two plays specifically for Finley (one in the post) to start the third quarter was one of the bigger WTF moments this season for me. Run two plays for Duncan and get the lead to 17 or 18 and the momentum for the second half is completely different.
SpursDynasty's lines will never get old!
tp had 9 assist today
he is averaging 7.4 assist since allstar break
duncan gets alot of assist also
pop is telling tp to shot more with manu out
and especially when duncan was out
tp is on fire you want the player that is hot to keep shooting
he is shooting 49& for the whole year!
You beat me to it, ducks. It's odd for a CoM member to agree with a CoT member on such as this, but happens. OV, what else would you expect with Manu out??? And I'm perfectly fine with TP shooting if he's playing to his potential. And like ducks said, he's averaging better than his overall season avg for asists with Manu out. I think he's doing an excellent job.
But I agree with OV about the set Fin plays, WTF!?!?!?!? His FG% would've been even better without that bull .
You really think the spurs were gonna let the suns get 100 points or over?
Plus Timmy had a good bounce back game dident he? he had 12 more
points 10 more boards and 2 more assists.

TP just totally took over yesterday it was amazing to watch, good win.
Great win. Fun game to watch. Can't wait for a healthy Ginobili and Gooden. That being said....I was reading the Phoenix newspaper sports pages online, and all the local reader comments, and I got to say I feel bad for those guys...the fans. Between their front office, coaching staff, and players, those fans have been dealt a real crappy hand. Going from a playoff contender to squat in less than a season. That has got to be pretty tough on a hardcore fan (like I am about the Spurs). These are the same fans that REALLY thought they'd have a chance this year. All in all, it makes me grateful to be a fan of the Spurs organization and grateful of their business decisions over the last decade, because all it takes is a few risky decisions to make a playoff contending team into squat in such a short time period as half a season.

I'm really happy for Tony that he's getting a lot of assists, especially against a bunch of teams that aren't going to make the playoffs, but that doesn't mean he's running the offense well, just that people are hitting shots after he passes to them. The Spurs should be developing as a team. Having Parker carry them is the same thing they were doing the first week of the season.
Again, I'm really glad that his shots are going in. And again I'm sure we're all really thrilled that he's doing so well against teams that don't play defense, but that doesn't make them smart shots, and doesn't mean they are going to be ready for a deep playoff run.
BTW, ducks, even though I don't agree with your position, I have to say that you made the two most astute arguments I've ever seen you make. I'm getting a little verklempt.
tp should have had 14-20 assist had the players made their shots
spurs almost scored 100 points
that is running the o well
tp has been on fire
only bad game was against cavs
and that was when he had no legs
Yeah, too bad the team's success follows his ability to score. Let's not start thinking about a playoff run, we'll just spend the offseason masturbating to the box scores.
