this has always been phil jackson's game plan against 3 pt shooting team. lock down the interior and dare the other team to beat you through jump shots. it's been pretty effective against the spurs. duncan's inability to score in the post will hurt the spurs a lot.
Lakers are basically telling the Spurs to beat them from the outside. The best 3pt fg% team in the NBA can't even hit for . Sad.
Spurs need to regroup offensively. Despite the fouls, our defense has been suffecient.

Either Neal or Bonner need to be in the game. These other guys simply can't hit a shot from the outside.
The good news is that the Spurs are only down by 3, despite Duncan and Ginobili playing horrible, and the Lakers shooting 11% better than the Spurs from the field..the Spurs are also getting any shot they want, for the most part, but missing them..
The bad news is that the Spurs haven't really shown any ability to stop the Lakers tonight..there's no reason to believe that this will change..
I know we have a stronger supporting cast now but I never thought we'd only be down 3 points with Ginobli and Duncan laying eggs offensively.
Finish the quarter strong and hopefully they regroup at the half.

Spurs brought energy (except for the first 4 minutes), but their defense is and offense is bad. LA shooting way too well from the field.
