Season three and four are covering the third book just because of the length. I'm not sure if book four will overlap or when they'll cover that material.
The last audiobooks I listened to were the last couple books of Stephen King's Dark Tower series a few years ago; wanted to recaptured youth when I really enjoyed those first couple, instead I lost all respect for one of my favorite childhood authors, those last few books were so ty!
I really don't like getting read to tbh, and it's not about effort, I'm just a pretentious mother er when it comes to what I read.got like stacks of literature and philosophy to get through etc; I'll just figure out which book starts new post-season 3 material. I do like the story.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I can't wait for some certain things to be shown.
Season three and four are the first and second half of book three. Books four and five take place concurrently but are broken up by area instead of chronologically. Book 4 primarily covers events in Kings Landing and book five covers what is happening in the east and on the wall (for the most part). My guess would be that season 5 will tackle the series chronologically and have parts of books four and five. If you were going to read the books and didn't want to slog through the beginning...IMO...the third is the best in the series, start to finish. But, you might get lost because a lot of the houses are absent or glossed over in the TV show and a few vital characters are altogether different.
Well you're a ing idiot...
de-sand your vagina moron. Just because you love stuffing your face with McDonald's dollar menu items doesn't mean that a filet mignon isn't objectively, way the better.
Ohhh... The ing idiot is snarky.
Snarky ing idiot!
I don't watch this show that much but when I do, I normally don't know what's going on. With that being said, I watched the last 15 minutes of the episode that just aired and that was intense. I can see why people were freaking out. Freakin barbarians but that's how they roll on this show.
TBH, Its just getting started. Loved watching my friends reactions since they havnt read the books... Been thinking to myself "You think that was shocking? Your in for a world of hurt."
I know what happens and I am shamelessly living vicariously through my friends shock.... I love it. They constantly ask me "what happens next?" and I revel in my silence. 2 Days before the Red Wedding my neighbor asked me "hey, is Game of Thrones going to get any more interesting? Its starting to get boring".... I just smirked and walked away.... Now, he doesn't know what to think....
SPOILER ALERT, DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW!
Highlight at your own peril.
Joffery finally dies (and I think tywin Lanister does too... its been a while since I read that part), Catelyn Stark is resurrected by the supposed "Lord of Light".... Much more happens than I can remember from the books that far back.... gonna be a wild ride!

Well lately I have only been watching it because of Emilia Clarke. She looks good naked. I mean that woman is like a goddess.
Ah it I will start reading the books when this season wraps up.
That bit about Joffrey is not really a spoiler imo. Common sense dictates his fate.![]()
Eh, the purple wedding is a lot less cool than the red wedding. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with the means behind that outcome unless the TV series adds more to it.
ty season finale.
Episode had nothing going for it. They should have ended the season with episode 9 instead.
It was pretty weak. They could have accelerated certain plot points and ended on an exciting note surrounding events on the wall. But, eh, pacing is a big problem for this series, both in the literary and TV format.
Huge disappointment. Boring.
Well, they certainly did. Looked pretty good too.
The finales are always more of a wrapping up the season and setting up the next. The penultimate episode is usually the one with crazy action (Ned, Blackwater, RW) so I didn't expect much from the S3 Finale. Still enjoyed most of it though except for the last scene with Dany which was pretty lame IMO.
Yup, this was the denouement. Dany didn't get all that much time this season at all since they made up a storyline for Stannis.
Spartacus always had badass finale's. I was expecting the same here.
Pretty much. Now the wait...The next season is Spring 2014 right?![]()
And author George R.R. Martin says he's still optimistic the TV series won't reach the end of the story before he does:
"I think the odds against that happening are very long. I still have a lead of several gigantic books. If they include everything in the books, I don't think they're going to catch up with me. If they do, we'll have some interesting discussions."
I hope either group doesn't rush it.
This sounds like a compe ion now. RR Martin may be thinking about rushing and that's never good.
track record for obese old writer finishing epic fantasy series is not good.
