Is MEM that concerned with payroll that they would be willing to move backwards and not match?
now revisit Pau to HOU and the Rox have a scary frontcourt with the Gasol brothers.

Wait, what happened to Boston, and the corpse of J O'Neal??
NO couldn't find any takers for JO so the deal died.
Good news that DWest isn't headed to the Cetics
@ the Rockets melting down after not landing one Gasol brother and throwing a max offer at the other Gasol brother.
Is 13M that out of line for Marc in this market? I don't think so. This is still a crazy FA market though.
At least they're throwing money at the right one this time.
Me too ... it seems George really got in a lucky position there. It does not take much to make a huge leap in the Eastern conference and the Pacers are willing to do so. Starting Five of Hibbert, West, Granger, George and Collison would definitely look good.
Damn. Pacers have a Nice team. If they land Mayo for McRoberts they would have the best backcourt in the league. George, Granger, Hill, Mayo, Jones, Collison, Rush, Price. Schedule not going to give them trouble & could make some real noise in the playoffs.
That's gotta piss Hill off; where does he fit on that team with Collison, Granger, and Mayo ahead of him?
What, BB? Hill have plenty of minutes at PG & SG. Granger is a SF only. Hill doesn't really play SF (or at least he shouldn't, he did at times on the Spurs because of lack of personnel.)
I say someone get this to Buford.
Must be tough to watch your squad just stand still while moves are being made. Felt the same way last year w/ the Mavs, then we trade for Chandler and look what happened. Point being it may look bleak now... but one move and the Spurs could change everything.
That's the thing. Who thought Chandler was a difference maker on a le team? Don't recall that it was a highly regarded move.

Hornets asking for E Gordon, Kaman, Bledsoe, Aminu and 2 1st round picks, sources say
That is way too much for Paul... wow.
Seems cheap for Paul, IMO. Only Gordon and the picks are top notch or potentially top notch there. Kaman's good but not great.
No! That thing actually moves!![]()
For those who had designs on McRoberts, looks like you can forget about him now too.

The Memphis Grizzlies are in advanced discussions with Indiana on a sign-and-trade deal that would bring free agent Josh McRoberts to the Grizzlies and send guard O.J. Mayo to the Pacers, according to sources close to the process.
Good, McRoberts will not hurt the Spurs as Mayo often did in the last years ... Grizzlies will look a little different this year.
