Splitter would be a poor comparison, he generally is very good a rim protection defensive percentage. Walling off the paint and forcing guards to shoot over his length five feet away from the basket.
The Spurs could have certainly been more aggressive (who knows what they tried to do) Boston could have been an option with Splitter for the 28th and 33rd pick.
