I love Kawhi but he isn't top 3......... Also, Curry is the best player in the NBA right now.
he said all around......Curry isn't the rebounder, defender, or shot blocker that Kawhi is.......Curry is an out of this world shooter and scorer, and a good passer, but he is not a complete player.

Starters had to play too many minutes. Rebounding continues to be an issue. But it was not limited to the Diaw/West combo. I still think Pop is going to have to split Tim and LMA more.

I agree that Kawhi isn't top 3 but he meant it as an all around player who can dominate at both ends. Curry is definitely the best shooter in the league by far but his defense isn't special.

LMA has turned into the weaklink
He has the kind of game that will be huge in the playoffs.

Didn't look like that was how it would go. Second half D was a big improvement.

Or in the middle of this season for a 7' guy who can rebound, block shots, and actually guard big guys worth a damn.

By the time dude turns around, the team will have already won 3 more rings, tbh.

He has no rhythm whatsoever. Everyone else is allowed to play through whatever doldrums they have or mistakes. If Pop didn't believe in him, he wouldn't even be playing but teammates ignore him on mismatches at this point, and he has no chemistry with others. He is a nice young player but he will not flourish or look well like this. He does need work on that shot. It's sad his confidence is gone. This was a painful game to watch not only bc of that. The team's iso heavy and selfish play at times completely freezes out Aldridge as well.
The emergence of Butler has re ed Kyle's development. With games being close at least until the late 4th quarter, Pop has the reliable Butler to turn to rather than plug in a rawer Kyle and let him play through the rough stretches, which is what he needs to develop. I like Kyle's potential, but on this team he may not fulfill it. I am beginning to have doubts.

Well actually, Curry is averaging 4.8 rebounds per game. That's pretty much above average for point guards this season. Most of the time point guards aren't even supposed to look for the rebounds in the first place. He is also a solid defender and gets a good amount of steals. As for the blocked shots that is an irrelevant stat for point guards so it doesn't even matter. To say Curry is not a complete player is just... (to be nice) not smart.

Wow! Kawhi actually laughed on camera! I couldn't hear the comment or question that drew his laughter, though. Did anybody make it out?

There have been a ton of blocks the past 2 games, even Patty has a block
That's what I don't get. Spurs have a ton of blocks, but the defense can't seem to hold the opponent down.

I think it's more so his energy level & aggressiveness. Butler for example pushes the ball when he grab a rebound & isn't afraid to take it to the rack meanwhile Kyle tends to walk up the ball & settles for off balance shots. He has to be aggressive & drive had to the rack when he gets the ball instead of just passing it to the next guy, even Danny tries to force the issue despite being offensively limited by jacking up shots & even venturing into the paint . The starters seem happy as to use LMA as a decoy too, even Danny is getting to run PnPs. Patty is going to be gunning playing w/ D-West & Diaw has found an even more selfless player than himself.

It's the offensive rebounds that killed them today & they probably were unfamiliar w/ the Jokic dude. (The scouting reports are barely used during the regular season)

so steph curry plays defnse and guards the best scorer on other teams? KEY WORDS, "ALL AROUND". I know this is the nba as rebounding and defense doesn't mean to most of you guys... The teams that make curry play defense when the warriors try to hide him, will beat them in a playoffs series. Look at their last 2 games. Jarret Jack was killing him..Curry's the best shooter in the league.. ok.. he has a team around him playing defense and setting illegal picks all day. Am I the only one missing that?

Well lets put it this way would either Curry or Kawhi be starters if they weren't as good at what they're great at (Shooting/Scoring for Curry and Defense for Kawhi)?

so he plays defense and is a rebounder? I just want u to go on record and say he is..And please don't mention steals as playing defense. Leonard doesn't gamble on steals like most pgs. He patiently waits until he can get one or sees the opportunity. cmon now, let's not make curry ut to be gary payton. He's NOT a solid defender by any means.

Sleeping on Steph. This dude has a pretty solid all around game. I think best two way player in the game would have been better phrasing because when I hear all around.... it sounds like best player.

well you can't be the best player in the league without being the best all around can u? Do u feel kevin durant 2 seasons ago was the best all around player in the league from just scoring? That's the problem with the nba today. A mf will have a statline of 37, 5 boards, 4 assits, 1 steal and people will say he had a better game than someone with a statline of 18, 10 boards, 6 assits, 3 blocks and especially if that person had to guard someone else that scores. Basketball analasis today is based of looking at sportscenter highlights and stats. Some people don't even watch games and try to debate.

I'm not a stat watcher like most people. I was reluctant to even mention the steals in the first place. But most of you care about stats so much that I threw it in there anyway as extra. Just don't hate on the guy.

YES, he is a solid defender. He does enough. A thing you have to keep in mind is that Curry has to do so much running using so much energy to get open and get guys open shots that i'm pretty certain that is own teammates VOCALLY told him that he could hold a little back on defense because they would have his back because they know how much his offense is needed. I don't have proof of that but I played basketball and I know what it feels like to support your teams best player and the desire to do more for them so they can be at their best so I am sure they are doing the same.

And I am a big fan of Leonard but he does gamble for steals. He just does it in a different way. I see him constantly trying to grab the ball from people the same way he took it from Monta Ellis last season. And he doesn't have to fly by someone as much to gamble for the steals because of his wingspan and hand size.

And yes he rebounds. I mentioned earlier that he is averaging 4.8 rebounds per game. That is above average for point guards this year. (Point guards usually are just supposed to go to the outlet spot and wait for the rebounder to get them the ball anyways, so 4.8 atleast shows that he is hitting the glass more than other point guards this season.)

The fact that Curry puts up lines like that when the defense is keying off on him is what is most impressive. He is efficient as well...... Never seen anything like him before. They have a GREAT chance at going back to back and if they do, he will be the main reason why.
