LB Anthony Hines of Plano East tells 24/7 he'll be in Austin for the spring game in April.
LB Baron Browning of Kennedale has been elevated to five-star status as well.
OL Tyrese Robinson of McKinney Boyd talks about UT (24/7):
“The academics were a big reason (for committing to OU),” Robinson said. “They have a lot of tutors that help you out. I have great relationships with Coach (Bob) Stoops and Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh. They have a great coaching staff. They put people in the NFL. I feel like part of the family.”
“Texas has been recruiting me hard,” Robinson said. “I like Texas. I have a lot of respect for Texas and what Coach Strong has been doing up there. They also have a great coaching staff, and I like where the program is going. They are turning it around.”
“Coach Mattox actually came by my school right before signing day,” Robinson said. “I think he’s a nice coach. We’ve been talking on and off since I committed to Oklahoma. He’s just told me that I need to get down there so he can change my mind.”
“I want to see them (Texas) win,” Robinson said. “Texas is so inconsistent, and winning is a big factor for me. But I do feel with the recruits that they brought in and Coach Strong, it’s going to change. I’m going to pay close attention.”
Shavers picked up A&M, Georgia and Miami offers since yesterday.
Inside Texas reporting WR Damion Miller will be in Austin for the spring game in April.
He will visit Ole Miss a few days before that.
WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey in the running for "Name of the Year."
WR Tyrell Shavers of Lewisville has been offered by Alabama.
Per 24/7, TE Major Tennison has set up a visit to Michigan for April 1st.
Have we offered this guy yet? He is going to blow up even more. If I know this, why does the staff not? Must get!!!
Not yet, but I think they will eventually.
The staff is out of the office this week, so news is slow.
I'm sure we'll hear these names a lot more in the spring evaluation period, but 24/7 listed a few 2018 prospects who could receive offers:

Update on DE Earnest Brown of Denton Ryan (24/7):
“It (Texas' Junior Day) went really well,” Brown said. “I got to talk to Coach Strong a lot. He just told me that he could see me as being a great fit with the program. He said they were going to keep recruiting me hard, which was good to hear. I liked him.”
“I like them,” Brown said. “I know that the coaching staff really cares about academics. I like Coach Strong a lot and the way he runs his program. I could see myself playing for him in the future. So I do have interest in Texas for sure.”
“Right now, Northwestern is really the school standing out to me,” Brown said. “I really liked my visit and the academics. I’m also looking hard at Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Texas is also in there.”
Quotes from five-star S Jeffrey Okudah of South Grand Prairie (24/7):
“Coach (Clay) Jennings, Coach (Charlie) Strong and Coach (Vance) Bedford all reached out to me a couple of days ago and let me know that I’m a top priority on the board,” Okudah said. “That meant a lot to me. I think they are all great coaches, and I appreciate how honest they are.”
“It’s (winning games) really important,” Okudah said. “I want to be a part of a winning team. I think everybody does. I want to be able to help a team win a national championship and play against the best compe ion. It’s really important to see them win.”
“Most schools I talk to want me as a versatile corner,” Okudah said. “They want me to do a little bit of everything kind of like Jalen Ramsey did at Florida State. They feel I can play any spot in the secondary. And I feel I can do that as well.”
