I doubt Kawhi plays on the road trip, I'm not even sure if LMA plays against OKC. D-West might get the start along w/ Boban & K-Mart/Miller will be asked to be play-makers.

I'm excited to see Simmons guarding Westbrook though & sadden about Kyle having to guard Durant.
    Frankly its too tragic IMO.
I am laughing at home bc it can be so demoralizing I hope he's ready to toughen up his spirit for a long night.

I will watch it just bc, frankly part of what I enjoy watching in bball is young players evolve.

Sadly, Westbrook will make Simmons his . The only hope is that he shoots himself out in the fourth quarter. We will lose by 20 and give them false hope for round 2.

Simmons may have stolen some playing time back from Fathead, whose Defense was putrid, and KMart whose head wasn't in the game
He wasn't that terrific on D either. I think they all struggled and were lazy or had lapses at times. But they will get another chance against OKC. Frankly I have not ever been on this Anderson vs Simmons. I think both guys will probably play together very well and are both trying to get better on different paths.

WestBrick is going to hijack OKC's offense trying to go at Simmons when he's hounding him full-court like Curry. That's what Patrick Beverely did & it worked in the Rockets favor.

We learned you can absolutely not have Simmons handling the ball. Blood was in the water when he had it and Lance freaking Stephenson was giving him the full court pressure business. Stripped him a couple times or forced bad passes.

Yes, I don't know if you saw my review of his last dleague game in the "Thinktank" section. His bad handles really limit him, bc he otherwise has terrific athleticism and elite first step, and also he has a very nice court vision. Even in the dleague you can see it, he hasn't been playing well over there, but you can see flashes of his passes and his PnR. It's just very risky, he's been having the 5 TO games, and many other times he just looses the handle and has to pass out to reset, so its the 5 TO + the other times he didn't quite TO but almost.

I am sure Pop doesn't have time like me to watch him so of course he had to test out if he improved any in the dleague.

I am really rooting for him, I really like him, but his handles is one thing that I don't know if he can improve at his age. He's quite old. Look at Danny, hasn't improved those handles much lately (although I am sure he was much worse at age 21 or 22 probably). But if we play Danny, he can play, just like you say, have him with a PG Pop please.

Who called the Ray revenge tour, I know someone did?
Black Ollie scored 7 points on 3-10 shooting with 1 assist in 20 minutes. Spurs f'd up by not cutting this guy in preseason. It cost them their best shooter. Well, that and Fathead sucking in the preseason and forcing the Spurs to keep Ralph Garbage Time also.

Matt Moore said after the game that LMA was overrated defensively, or basically that LMA would be a liability in the playoffs. He's not convinced.

Yes, he left two months before. Thus, the Spurs had a new best shooter. Must suck to fail that bad.

Have a great time at the game.
Thanks, trying to keep my yearly tradition with my brother alive !

Was excited to see the new players in person. Interesting seeing the big 3, felt like I've seen them all my life growing up.

But after all my remenisicng of history in that building, I noticed a pretty entertaining game break out.

I thought Dave joerger did a great job of game planning because Memphis played extremely tough. (We were trying to predict, as was the forum, which random ex spur will torch us, Damn jamychael!

Plus, pop ended up giving Boban some burn, yay!

I didn't like the whole you can't enter without a premium pass until 6:30, but it wasn't that big of an inconvenience. All in all had a great time, and in glad the spurs were able to avenge the home loss to Memphis last time I saw them.

    GSG!
