Your takes are like those of a 14 year old kid. You play too many video games where you equate high stats with skill level. You think Russell is a 99 skill level so that's why he gets high stats, and that his team is basically 65 skill level or lower so you just make Russ the PG and shoot every time down the floor, but you need assists so you pass to someone under the rim or at the last second to force the shot. Then you need rebounds so you set the others to box out and you never defend your man, you just run to the middle for rebounds. At the end of your fake season you have an MVP, scoring le, all NBA awards and DPOY because you also go for every steal instead of defending.

Look at LeBron's game last night lebomb. 41, 13 rebs, 12 assists. He shot 51% from the floor and 50% from 3. He let the game happen naturally. And he did a lot of it with Kyrie and K-Love riding pine. That's a real triple double.

What do you consider to be "great games"?

If WB involved his teammates, if they shared the assists, if he gets about 5 rebounds, attacks the rim just to free up his 3pt shooters, and only shoots the 3 to spread the defense (he's a horrible 3pt shooter), then I'll say "goddamn what happened to Russ" but he'll continue to play "me" ball and you will ignore the contributions of his team if they win, and you'll blame them if they lose and the sun also rises.

Westbrook has no feel for the game. Harden does. You go under the screen he's taking the three, go over he's attacking the basket, big steps up he's throwing the lob to Capella, perimeter guys collapse he's kicking it out to his shooters. He's almost always in control on top of being super talented.

Chuckbrook OTOH has no idea what he's doing, just plays like a wild animal. His decline will be epic once he loses his superhuman athleticism.

So Russ for the most part tonight played within the flow of the offense and that's good. I don't think I've ever seen someone less interested in winning the game than Harden though. Is he on some kind of depressant? er walks the ball up, down 5 with the clock winding down. He heaves a half court shot with 7 seconds on the shot clock. He turns the ball over on a 24 second violation because he camps on the ing ball down like 5 points.

But props to Russ. I hope he continues to play within himself but he won't. Adams bailed him out with the putback ala Pau Gasol/Kobe after Russ stopped trusting his teammates in the crunchtime minutes and turned into Leroy Jenkins. He got away with this one.
