Even if they get a TD here, they're under 2 minutes with only 2 timeouts so it's pretty much meaningless... if they kick it deep they'll only get the ball back with at most 40 seconds left needing a TD, and onside kicks don't work anymore because of the rule changes so that's out.

That's the one time Tony Romo is wrong. You absolutely 100% kick it deep there. Onside kicks are a 4% chance, that's as good as zero.
