Spurs do not have a 4. Keldon is undersized and his fight is admirable.
Maybe the KBD dude but he sucks.
Ok let me try to understand this. If Keldon is a 4 that should
mean he can play small ball five right?![]()

Wait, why does being an undersized PF mean he can play center?
It's like saying, "OK let me try to understand this. If Bryn Forbes is a 2 that should
mean he can play small ball SF, right?"
Forbes, like Johnson, plays the position he plays despite not having good size for it because he lacks fundamental attributes to play down a position. But nothing about being an SG or PF implies one can play up. You can be annoyed Johnson is too short, but that doesn't mean he's actually the smaller position.
Not sure what the point is for the who plays the 4 arguments. Barely any team plays a '4' anymore. It simply doesn't matter. Bucks started Middleton as a 4 the other night, is he a 4? Teams play 4 perimeter oriented players in 2021. In most games there's little functional difference between a 3 and a 4. Yeah it'd be great having a tall perimeter '4' like a Tatum but the distinction between positions is so murky there's no point arguing.
I am encouraged with the level of effort and defense…that was like the baseline though for what we were hoping to see. I’m glad that aspect is there and looks legit.
Now need to see progress on the “other” things (3PT shooting, decision making, etc..) as the season progresses. But overall, the games are enjoyable and I have not seen any major red flags that I was not anticipating tbh.
cannot agree more!!!
lord knows i dont always agree with chinook, but yeah these criticisms are really poor lol
I feel the same way, it was encouraging to see.
