Too slight to be near the basket, I am told. Needs to get stronger.
KD is shorter and thinner than Wemby and never shot as many threes and has never had issues getting to the line... Let's be real... Wemby is soft on offense

Can't win playing 5 vs 8. Refs should be dressed white tonight.

Castle getting recognised on national TV. Good for potential ROTY exposure.

Wemby with silly TOs. Looks like he has tried to hard sometimes.

Second unit lead by dumb tank commander KJ as usual sucks against better teams.

    Still fun game to watch.

With Jeremy and Tre we would have killed them.
He gets nervous with the ball in his hands... From my experience the only way to stop that is to give him the ball more... He will settle down eventually once he gets used to initiating offense like Jokic... And he will stop those quick hot potato passes

Lakers had guys out too. Tre is healthy so no excuse. Just he alone could've been difference in 5pt game.

Remember when no one else wanted to trade Kelon + #8 to Detroit to move up to pick #5 while I was saying it would be the heist of the century?
Who would you pick at #5?

It can only be Ron Holland, Tidjane Salaun or Donovan Clingan.

They passed on everyone else at #8.

Fun game for the most part. Frustrating at times, sure.

Think both teams drop their games tomorrow on the road.

Hope Wemby and Castle are OK. Both seemed to take their lumps, noticeably wincing and may sit tomorrow.

Holland as a long term project

Fun game. Shame we had some questionable shot selection towards the end. Lakers were so hot from down town too.

I think we needed Stephon to play more. The game was lost in the minutes that guys like Wesley, Collins and to a lesser extent, Maliki were out there. In games against good opponents, these guys seem useless. KJ also makes some stupid plays at time.
Victor still needs to be better with his shot selection and more diligent on the turnovers. Can't be air balling threes at the end of the game, either.

Also, Davis flopped on that last one. Refs were definitely for the Lakers.

Wemby's shooting numbers were fine if he hadn't taken those 2 dumb 3s in crunch time

Spurs and their shooting coach got trashed here for being an atrocious shooting team a couple of weeks ago...

    Right now:
    League average: 13.3 3PM per game, .356 3P%, .780 FT%
    Spurs: 14.0 3PM per game, .358 3P%, .815 FT%

If most people think we will hit the Vegas line and be around 35 wins, this kind of game will happen more often. 35 wins is 12 games below .500. We’re currently ONE game under .500. Buckle up, buttercup.

Tbf, he's at 1.7 attempts, it's not like he'd affect those percentages.

7 out of 10 upcoming games are against playoff teams, we'll see how it goes.
So far we've beaten 3 good teams, 2 of those being on the second night of b2b.

AD took 22 shots inside the arc, Wemby 12. Looking at their respective shot charts, it shouldn't come as a big surprise that AD went to the line much more often than Wemby did. Zero FTs for Wemby is a bit low, though, one has to say.

Mitch having Keldon close out the game was awful.
Yeah can't argue that. I'm not sure how much of that is up to him and how much some of it is some FO stuff behind the scenes.

Hopefully Keldon never closes once Sochan is healthy tbh. Such a losing player.

...and back below .500 they go

Anthony Davis outplaying Wembustyama, as he usually tends to do. Davis has yet to lose a game to the spurs since they drafted Wembolbol.

Imagine being 7'4 and going 4-13 from 3 and shooting 0 ft's all game because you refuse to get in the paint
You'd suck 3 s to have Victor on your team, and you know it.
