not so quick to claim Trump can do whatever he wants, are you now
I think I was more in the camp of, I wish he would ignore the courts. It seems he is getting sound advice from someone other than me. Smart move.

Like I've already said, I think the Trump camp has been planning this for months before the inauguration. I would find it hard to believe they didn't anticipate the lawfare.

I guess we'll see if he prevails. Neither of the IGs fired under Biden or Obama were reinstated, even though one did file suit, like this guy.

    They

    are

    incompetent.

Y'all could've gotten almost everything you want the hard way, giving two weeks notice before policy changes and adhering to the law as to employee termination, then passing Trump's policies through Congress as laws.

growing up in San Antonio "purge" was a bad word -- something that happens in criminal and communist regimes

not so much anymore, our co-presidents need political unity for their policies to be effective

Considering how widespread the grift may be, I think the element of surprise was the best approach.

Criminals can hid a lot of evidence in 2 weeks.

Oh, and they're working on legislation to enshrine his policies into law so no nitwit Democrat (or Republican) can come back later and undo it.

I think it's more ideological unity. If you're not on board with the agenda, you're not wanted in the administration.

Political unity? Have you noticed the number of prominent Democrats that have left that party and crossed over to help this administration? Two former Democratic Presidential candidates are on his Cabinet for Pete's sake. There are more coming over or considering coming over, all the time.

Face it, Democrats pooped in their Post Toasties with their crazy COVID nonsense and then, they shot themselves in the foot by hiding the decline of the sitting President of the United States and, when it became apparent he was non compos mentis, coronating Kamala Harris, who couldn't even draw a vote in the primary.

You should get out more. Trump is very popular. He was popular on November 5th and his numbers just keep going up now that he is doing exactly what he promised he'd do.

That he's negotiating peace in two theaters of war, gaining the release of American hostages, getting countries like Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico to take their criminals back, while at the same time -- ferreting out corruption on our federal government -- is exactly what we signed up for. And, according to and MSNBC Poll, 70% of Americans believe President Trump is keeping his campaign promises.

    Interesting read...

Trump 2.0 - The Judicial Front

Completely to no one’s surprise various low level judges, on behalf of various grifters threatened by a lack of federal funding, have issued orders telling Trump he can’t do things he and his various appointees, DOGE etc. are doing.

Since Trump and his team are very far from idiots, it is obvious that they will have expected this and have plans.

a good example of a sham investigation is DOGE

Trump 2.0 is rushing to tick all the boxes

some distinct steps to erode democracies emerge:

    • Undermine independent ins utions (courts, media, electoral commissions)
    • the opposition using legal or bureaucratic means (including sham investigations and lawsuits)
    • Dismantle social protections (weaken welfare and public services, foster resentment towards vulnerable groups)
    • Retreating from international ins utions, agreements and alliances.
    • Weaponising nationalism (framing “out” groups as the enemy; rewriting history; calling dissent ‘unpatriotic’)
    • Undermining science and objective knowledge
    • Alter laws to stay in power (including gerrymandering, changing voter laws)
    • Undermine free elections (limit voting rights, spread misinformation, deny election results).
