Y'all could've gotten almost everything you want the hard way, giving two weeks notice before policy changes and adhering to the law as to employee termination, then passing Trump's policies through Congress as laws.

Considering how widespread the grift may be, I think the element of surprise was the best approach.

And, according to and MSNBC Poll, 70% of Americans believe President Trump is keeping his campaign promises.
