And I appreciate the people on here who have at least 20/20 vision and saw that the suspension was well deserved and didn't bring up Manu's flopping as a defense to Artests intentional hit on Manu.
look for kevin martin to have a great game.

The suspension was probably unwarranted under normal circustances. However, the NBA (per ESPN) DID send out a letter than no BS would be tolerated in this year's playoffs, and if Udonis Halsem can be suspended for throwing a mouthpeice, then Kings fans shouldn't be too surprised.
What WAS bull was the triple "payback" that Artest felt the need to exact. You reap what you sow.
what do you guys think about bowen kicking ray square in the back a couple weeks ago. you guys justify that but when artest does something less then that you guys act like hes satan.
Yeah i feel really bad that ARtest has been suspended or not. Go to Kingsfan.com for a good laugh. Apparently the Spurs called the league and bitterly complained and Ginobilis elbow = Artest forearm to the head. Oh and the spurs get the royal star treatment and kobe got away with so much in the 2002 WCF(which i agree with)

i dont know about you but alot of the other homers on this forum do act that way. thank god for kori ellis.
Bruce should have gotten a 1 gamer for that one. I love the way the guy plays, but you can't do that. I think that his clean nature and the fact that he doesn't talk all the time helped him there.
Manu exaggerates much like Cuban does when complaining to the league office that "the Mavs don't get calls from the referees" or "the playoff schedule doesn't favor the Mavs" or whatever the else he es about.
Cuban the King of in' and moanin'
If someone was sitting on my foot (like Ray was) and I kicked them in the back and they where NOT expecting it (Like Ray wasnt), I bet I could AT THE LEAST knock the wind out of someone, Bowens kick was more of a push.
......but whatever justifications you need to make yourself feel better for that mental case on your team go right ahead.
Damn, if this is true then not only is Manu one of the toughest SOBs around, but he is also hands down the craftiest and smartest basketball player in the history of the game. IF this is true, the guy's a genius on the hardcourt with huge huevos.
They probably didn't suspend him because Allen was such a biyotch about calling the league and lobbying.
And, let's clear this up. Bowen didn't kick Ray Allen. Allen made a drama move, falling on top of BB's leg while getting called for an offensive foul for jumping into BB. Bruce shoved him with the sole of his shoe to attempt to dislodge his whining complaining ref baiting carcass from BB's leg so that he could get up.
Oh, and Bruce apologized anyway. Waiting for an Artest apology would be like watching one of those old EF Hutton commmericals...silence and birdies chirping.
Ron why don't you just chill and have a cup of beer.
My feeling towards the suspension is that he didn't really get it for the one to Ginobili but really for the swipe at Duncan and the take downs on Parker. He made contact with Ginobili so thats what they had to call. Everybody knew coming in that Artest could give us one and what do you know it happened. When you give the people what they are looking for its kinda hard to hide from the consequences. Game 3 will be interesting so I'm really looking forward to that one.
Side note: What were your thoughts on Artest before he joined Sac?
Good thing they don't sell bottles of beer in detroit. Or even cans. A full one of those could knock someone out in the middle of a 2nd grade food fight.
Artest knows that anything he does will be viewed under a microscope after the crap he pulled when he was with the Pacers. Given that, even the Spurs, Ginobili in particular, did not feel that his actions were flagrant or intentional. They said in their post game interviews that it was just physical basketball, playoff basketball. The suspension is extreme, but you reap what you sow.
i feel this thread needs bad song lyrics:
But when the night is falling
And you cannot find the light
If you feel your dream is dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget you only get what you give
AMEN! this is all that's needed to be said from this thread.
Remember that kid in high school that was ALWAYS in the principal's office. Sometimes for no reason at all. Well that's Ron Artest. The fool brought this on himself. So once again he has ed the KIngs.
NOt only has he ed the Kings, he has ed this great round 1 matchup that could have helped the Spurs get prepared for their le run. ing Artest you piece of thanks a lot.
It sucks for the Kings, but it's the NBA doing it's job. Remember when Kobe retaliated to Mike Miller. It seemed unnecessary, but it was the "intent" and premeditation that got him canned, just like Artest's is in the same scenario, it was obvious. Even if Manu didn't get hurt as bad, just the potential for the headshot is their concern.
All of the people he harmed in those incidents were floppers, so it's not like Ron actually did anything intentionally to hurt them. Even if they exxagerated the contact, Ron should be protected because, um, they exxagerated the hit.
really? including the fans he flipped off and his girlfriend?
It was sarcasm.
