No - he's much more effective when he plays inside the arc. I love seeing him shoot fade away threes - they are very low percentage shots. They are basically bail out shots when he doesn't want to bang down low. If you're a 7 footer you should be able to bang down low, and never shoot a fade away three. , no one should ever shoot a fade away three for that matter.
