I don't even need to mess with the Spurs name. It's the worst name for a team and just shows what kind of hillbillies you are in San Antonio. Might as well call them the "Cattle Rapers."

"Hillbillies"? DFW has that market cornered.

The Spurs are 10-10 in 07.

This team is a .500 team. I think there is a possibility that they play .500 ball for the rest of the year (although I don't think it is probable, it is possible).

If that happens, they'll finish with 49 wins. When was the last time a Spurs team didn't reach 50 wins? Not only that, but that might be bad enough to drop them all the way to the 6th seed in the West.

The classic 'past doesn't matter' and 'some other team...' two-fer.

Now the 'hey, in another sport....'

Why are Mavs fans this stupid?
    yes they are.

Our shooters are just too damn inconsistent. That's the problem This is besides our centers the SAME TEAM AS LAST YEAR. But inferior.

At least last year our offense wasn't the main problem, Just rebounding. now it's rebounding, AND not making our 3's, bench points.

Stupid old farts. They're all playing like Regular Season Horry's!

and even Horry is suspect now. He hits iron all the time.

Hahahahah another loser living in the past. I knew you'd all start in on that.

The Celtics have 10x the les that the Spurs have, so the Celtics own you by your own lame logic.

And by the way, DALLAS has a lot more rings than you do. Where are your Super Bowl les? That's right. You don't even have a team. Get your own team and get off the Cowboys' bandwagon. No one said you could jump on.
Who gives a about teams that played 20, 30 years ago? The Spurs of now have three rings, and the Mavs of now have zero. Leave it to a Mavfan to ignore the issue at hand and find some other way to dog on the Spurs. Regular season records don't matter. The Spurs could finish this season under .500 and we'd still have our rings to your none while we watch the Mavs choke out of the playoffs again.

It's not even about unraveling, this team that they have is just not good. Period. Outside our Big 3, we have ZERO offense. Outside of defense by Parker/Manu/Duncan/Bowen we have no one.

More so, tonight the Spurs just look so out of sync. Our big 3 do the scoring, everyone else stands around and watches. Duncan grabs a rebound/blocks a shot/defends the paint, Oberto/Elson stand around and watch.
yeah so true and duncan can(t make a dunk he has great pass by parker and he lose the ball

BTW, That Daniel Gibson (on the Cavs) would be an awesome backup PG for the Spurs. He's from Texas too. Why didn't the Spurs look at him? Oh yea, because they were too busy looking at foreign players who they never bring over.

San Antonio is known as a multicultural mecca while Dallas is well known for its overtly redneck racist at ude. So, I was wrong to call you a herMavrodite. You are a racist herMavrodite.

Sidenote: Today was Jacque Vaughn's Birthday....please someone tell me that was a typo by ABC when they stated it was his 37TH BIRTHDAY???

Surely the Spurs haven't stooped so low that they are using an almost 40 year old as a backup PG??

8-24 from 3 pt. doesnt help either. I cant believe we put up 24 3's. I could see if we were making them, but damn stop shooting the er and take it in.

    I agree with your point!

Problem: In the half court, nobody outside of Ginobili can create off of the dribble!!!

Here's the half court set: Throw to TD, and then stand on the perimeter and watch Duncan make his semi jump hook move!

Bowen is absolutely useless wheh he cannot even contribute in defense!!!

His defense was fine, I knew he wouldn't be able to stop Wade in the 4th, you knew that was coming.

I do get really pissed with Bowen's offense lately. He's scared to shoot and you can see it. He's passing wide open 3 pointers to drive and dish bad passes.

Saw that...and if the Spurs were in the weakass East they would be #1 with little threat from #2 (it's the Wiz).

It's because last year's pick was given up for a year's rental of Mohammed. What a great ing trade.

Kinda hard to go after a guy thats off the board 17 picks before you make your first draft selection.

I just can't watch this anymore. I don't consider myself a fair-weather fan. I just don't like to see my team lose... which is exactly what's happening every time they play a top-tier team. I can't continue to emotionally invest myself in this. I don't like feeling half-depressed after every "big" game. Wake me up when they start playing (if they do).

I'd take Alvin Robertson right now if he could stop beating his wife long enough to get out of the Bexar County jail.

BTW, I'm not even sure a trade will help this team at this point. Maggette may help the Spurs offensively a bit, but he's not the greatest defender. And no one else good is available that the Spurs can get.

They need to consider seriously rebuilding around our Big 3 next season.
