Why is it that they always have state troopers escorting college coaches off the field but NFL coaches are on their own?

They didn't run up the score. They ran 4 dives in a row with a rookie RB.

    How about stopping them?

I was starting to think that the Cowboys might be a threat in the NFC playoffs, but then I remembered that their head coach is Wade Phillips.

Well, I've watched four of the Cowboys' games and it's becoming pretty obvious that their safeties can't cover anybody. Not like I didn't know that before, but RW seems to have gotten worse in coverage.

I know what you mean, it's early, but damn, they look like nothing can stop them.
I disagree...I think that both Dallas and Cleveland showed that NE isn't unbeatable.
The Colts are tough, and with our defense now finding the field 4 out of 5 times, we'll take 'em.
    Bring it on!

Well, they did run the score up...completely classless...but would you expect anything else from the Patriots?

so with a minute to go fresh downs

you can take a knee run it out

or run up the score with a rookie RB

    yeah wich did they do?

    thank you.

    ....i in hate the pats...

    only colts left.......or miami (haha).

16-0? I doubt it. We WILL beat the Pats when we play them in Baltimore on 12/03. I really hope they are still undefeated at that time. Good game though Cowboys!

Yeah, that Kyle Eckel is a beast to stop.

And it was 4th down with over a minute left.

It's no big deal on running up the score. The game was over and the defense was spent since they were on the field for over 70 plays. The Cowboys were crushing them on the ground, but all of the false starts and holds took away the running game. If they work on keeping their composure and reducing mental errors they will be fine. Either way, this is a huge leap from where they were at this time last season, and they just need to keep improving.

The Pats offense is awesome through the air. Their lack of a running game will cost them at least one game this season, and it may all come down to a shootout between them and the Colts in the AFC. I'd still be nervous if I was a Pats fan that Brady is throwing 50 times.
