Just leave that roster spot open and wait for teams to start shedding some players at the end of the season and pick them up once they clear waivers.
Who knows if they're trying to make a big trade to counter the Dubs' attempts to ruin NBA compe ion?

Really no pieces they can trade.. Moving Danny wouldn't bring anyone over that would move the needle especially in salary trade off since everyone was overpaid.. They're not going to move TP..

Sources: Portland RFA Allen Crabbe has signed a four-year, $75M offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets. Bonuses could reach $83M.
He was nice last year, but I don't touch that as Portland. Especially after burning that money on Evan Turner.

those calling for Bourisis need to understand PATFO have explicitly stated they want to get younger and more athletic. Getting just Denmon and drafting Murray alone shouldn't cover that plan, tbh. I think they have something else up their sleeve that will address that.

If they wanted to get younger, they should have just let Manu go somewhere else, and told Tim that he gets his money, but he's being waived. That would have moved the age-o-meter a whole bunch.

Look, I know you're right about the apparent youth movement. But I don't see the Spurs ruling out the best available choice (whoever that is) because he's not in his 20's. Big men, in particular, take time to develop. Bourousis has been around. He has good timing on the PnR. There is an art to getting into the right position, at the right time, to set a good, effective pick. Bourousis is better at it than anyone I can think of since Fabbs. (No, I don't want to get into a long argument about who sets the best picks. My point is that he's another European big man who "does the little things".) He's not just tall - he's solid and strong, and not afraid of some contact.

I read a lot of conflicting opinions about whether Bertans will crack the rotation. But he and Bourousis have played together, and have some chemistry. Imagine how nice it would be to have two guys on the second team who are already familiar with each others' games.

I could be all wet about how much he'd play for, at least for one year. But looking at what else is available, I can't believe that the Spurs would turn down an opportunity, if he wanted to make the money work.

Holy , I didn't see that either. I know the Blazers wanted to keep him, and I got the impression that they thought they would. For those wondering about Harkless, I saw that he's buds with Lillard, and Lillard specifically told management that he wanted them to do what they had to, in order to keep him. A whole lot of the players we thought might be overlooked are getting paid, just like everyone else. Especially the ones we were watching, it seems like.

    Gasol / Dedmon
    Aldridge / ??? / LJC (Austin)
    Leonard / Anderson / Bertans
    Green / Ginobili / Simmons
Parker / Mills / Forbes / Murray (Austin)

Looking for a missing PF for the Vet Min.
Move Murray up at least one spot, maybe two. He looks like the real deal. I feel a lot better about not being able to get Hanlan on the team now that I've seen Murray.

Murray has talent, but he has too many issues that make his a problem with the spurs system.

Murray has two major gaps (1) learning how to defend and (2) learning how to shoot. So he news to ferment first in Austin before even considering him sniffing the floor. If D-league is to demoralizing a demotion for his ego, then I say that he gets traded with the first opportunity.

If Murray has discipline, he will emerge and evolve

so, lets give our rookies the benefit of the doubt

    ---------------------------------------------------

but that greek center will not be a rookie for me, i have the highest expectations for him

Yes, but TP now is much better than Terry Porter of then. It would take injuries.

Um Bertans is coming over. A good compliment with shooting ability.
