It feels like there is a 1% chance Burt stays committed, and that may be a generous assessment.
Hope it's true...

2016 WR Darian Owens of Clovis West (Cali.) is a name that could pop up later on, per 24/7.
"I really want to hear from Texas. Just being out here (for the Army National Combine) I like it here. I just want to go up to the campus and see what it would be like up there."

Something to keep an eye on...I was browsing the Scout board and there was a post asking about the status of RB Jordan Cronkrite from Palmetto Bay, FL. Anyway, a mod came on and said Texas will not have room if they land a certain surprise commitment in the next 24-36 hours.
Who you thinking? Soso.......Brossette??
Locksley?
Chris Warren if I had to guess. He'd be the closest to pulling the trigger towards Texas.
My guess as well.
Per 24/7, CB Mark Fields of Cornelius, NC will not visit UT before National Signing Day.
This might be tough for Canes fans to swallow. From everything I have been told on Tim Irvin, his heart is in Miami, but it is unlikely he winds up here. Multiple people around the Westminster program tell me that Texas and Auburn are basically his final 2 with Miami on the outside looking in. As I've posted on here a few times, Irvin's biggest question about Miami is his potential position coach Paul Williams.
Anthony Wheeler. According to Hornsports. We'll see.
Wheeler is my guess and he would be a "surprise", but I'd be lying if I said I was confident.
Texas was his first offer, he said he's closest with Coach Jean-Mary and Elliott thinks UT gets him, so it may happen.
Well the nerve.
I shall not bother with the fresh bath towel.
What does this mean?
To me it means that Kris and DeMarco both know where they plan on attending school and are pretending to still have a top 5 to continue to draw hype and interest.
He looks just like how I want an ILB to look.

A small update from Rivals that I came across yesterday.
5-star DT Edwin Alexander of St. Thomas Aquinas (La.) likes Texas. He was committed to LSU until April where he de-committed to make sure he made the right decision. LSU is still the leader but Florida State, USC and Texas are high on his list. Alexander and Strong/Rumph has been following each on Twitter for months now.
4-star TE Kaden Smith of Marcus is high on Texas. Alabama and Stanford are the frontrunners and he wants to visit Auburn and Georgia soon. "Those are the ones standing out," Smith said. "There are a couple others recruiting me hard but I'm not sure if I'm leaning towards them." I'm a big fan of Smiths teammate, DE Andrew Fitzgerald as well as Smith.
wheeler jefferson cherry towsned[“Wheeler’s parents want him at Texas, but his (Wheeler’s) relationship with Frank Shannon is the only thing holding it back. However, Wheeler and Shannon had a long talk last night. Either way it looks like this is closer than most thought between OU and Texas.”..............................

“Ronald and Anthony will go to Texas,” said Allen (Texas) quarterback Kyler Murray, who has said he will sign with Texas A&M. “Wheeler, I hate to jinx it, but he’s going to Texas A&M, I hope. Settle will go to Virginia Tech, Tyron, I’m going to say LSU and Payne to Auburn.”Soso Jamabo of Plano West (Plano, Texas), who hasn’t announced his own decision, only paused once in predicting where any of the six would go.
“Daron to Alabama, Tyron to LSU. Tim Settle to USC, Kendall to, that’s tough,” Jamabo said, before looking over to Cedar Hill wide receiver DaMarkus Lodge, who flashed Texas A&M’s trademark Gig’ Em hand sign. “And Anthony is going to Texas and Ronald is going to Notre Dame.”
Ronald to Texas is a strange prediction from Kyler Murray.
