This is easily the worst defensive Spurs team of the past ten years.
It'll take a miracle for a team with this personnel to be playing "Spurs Defense"
If nothing happens during the trade deadline then stick a fork in it.
Isn't this just how the Spurs play? We should just accept they play down to ty teams on purpose. So instead of using any energy by crushing them, they play it slow and for the long haul...reserving their energy for the second half where they take off for the win. I figured it was just crappy effort on the Spurs' part, ty team after ty team. But apparently, that's just how the Spurs play, on purpose, against crappy teams like the Raptors and the Knicks. They are just pacing themselves because they are so old and tired. It's only against the better teams that they really try to win from the start. Otherwise, take it slow because they are old and then try to win in the 4th.
Anybody really buying that as a valid reason? I'm not convinced.

it won't take a miracle..
our defensive +/- leaders are BY FAR, Kurt Thomas and Bruce Bowen..we need to have them playing more minutes..
we need to have Finley playing less..
there's no reason we can't play great D if Pop smartens up on his rotations..
ugh, I just hope Pop lets his Finley crush go.
Duncan actually showed up today. Maybe if TP gave him the ball more often rather than front rim 11 straight shots through the second half and overtime, the Spurs might have won the damn game.
ok i'm 1-2 with this loss (other loss in denver without the big 3)
i'll never start a game blog again.

I agree
And also stop playing the arcade games !
We got an 8 foot shot at the end to go ahead, maybe win, and Duncan missed it. You're gonna lose some close games like that. Shouln't have been that close maybe, but happens.
I agree that our defensive skills this year are not what we've come to expect. The team has changed with a lot more high scoring games.
