Aint gonna happen... we never get the big name players and if/when we do they are past their prime. Just another pipe-dream to get us all excited about another big-name...

Richard Jefferson, Michael Finley and Matt Bonner for Amar'e Stoudemire and Jared Dudley.
Um......whats the word Im thinking of?

    YOU!!!

    1) The Suns dont want your crappy Richard Jefferson contract. We already have Richardson and his crappy contract. Whats the point of even trading Amare if they dont get back cap space?

    2) The Suns arent trading Jared Dudley. At least not for crap!!

Richard Jefferson would average 20+ in Phoenix with Nash.

You can't have RJ. He is a tremendous asset for this time next year with a 15 mil expiring contract. Most teams are trying to create cap space to sign a signature player. The Suns are trying to create cap space by getting rid of a signature player. Want to know your near future? Look in the New Jersey mirror.

So the Suns would want Jefferson's expiring contract to go after all the signature players that will be available in two years...namely.........

    Umm....

OR, they could trade Stoudemire and Richardson and have tons of cap space THIS summer to go after Bosh.

I'm afraid that I've made fun of Pushups too much to ever want to see him in a Spurs uniform.

Then again, I guess we finally warmed up to Robert Horry eventually.
Haha same here... I did a lot of hating over the years as Amare is one of my least favourite players in the league.

But on the other hand... If there would be some slight slight chance for Dragič coming to Spurs That is basically my NBA wet dream.

The only thing about Amar'e is that he is still young. 27 years of age with 7 years of experience is pretty nice. I just don't want to lose Ginobili.

Channing Frye is a more athletic Matt Bonner.

As for the other 3, I am well aware than none of them will ever be traded to SA. My point was, I would rather have all 3 of them over Stoudamire. BTW, I cannot believe that I forgot to put Bosh on that list.
That's ridiculous. Channing Frye is one of the LEAST athletic big men in the league. He's Duncan class, with a game played VERY close to the floor. He's also a bit of a knuckle head, too.

Truth be told, da_suns_fan from this site pretty much predicted our season thus far, especially concerning RJ. I owe that guy a beer or something just for being right THIS long.

Im telling you, you guys DONT WANT HIM. Ive seen everything he can and cant do. He's a great finisher (or was anyway), but he cant get his own shot off. His defensive and rebounding deficiencies have been talked about to death on this board. Dont convince yourselves that it will work for you because "its you". The Suns did the same thing with Shaq.

    Possible destinations for Stoudemire
    By John Hollinger

    ...

San Antonio: I know the Spurs are getting desperate, but desperate enough to try this? I don't think so.

If Stoudemire were to opt in for next season, they'd be hosed: The normally financially savvy, small-market Spurs would go over the luxury-tax bar for a team that has only seven players under contract and looks decidedly long in the tooth.

Moreover, acquiring Stoudemire would cost the Spurs Manu Ginobili, their only reliable shot-creator on the wings, and the Spurs have precious little in the form of young players to include as a sweetener. This one never had legs and there are good reasons why.

Exactly. I know a lot of Spurs fans had reservations about bringing SJax back this year if a deal could be made, but it was obviously a huge acquisition for Charlotte. What Jack has done in Charlotte is just a tad shy of miraculous.

I'm sure Larry Brown called Pop about Jack before the deal was made. I just wonder if Pop said something like, "You know what, Larry... if you can control him, do it. I'm not up for that routine again, but god bless you if you think you can."
