I will say that Gervinho is starting to find the net with some consistency...granted, he still misses/flubs a lot of chances but he's certainly made strides from last year.
Will be hard for Giroud to find the starting 11 as long as Gervinho is in this kind of form
I'm still not sold on Gervinho playing as a CF/Striker. I just don't think it's his natural position and I hope Giroud will soon show enough to be the main man in the middle up front.
So I would assume that you like an in-form Giroud as the CF/ST with Podolski and Gervinho on the wings? Where do you see Walcott?
Wenger has his work cut out for himself in finding a solid #1 configuration up front and then still getting legit playing time for those he leaves on the bench.
Plus, the rumor mill still has the Gunners in search of a true ST for the next window.
Right now, I guess I would like to see an in-form Giroud with Poldi and Gervinho on the wings, yeah. Still, even that probably is not an ideal line-up because both Gervinho and Podolski prefer playing on the left. That would of course open the door again for Walcott on the right side, but it seems that he is relegated to a bench role as long as his contract issue isn't sorted out.
As you said, Wenger has his work cut out for him finding a good attacking formation. There is definitely some quality there but finding the right combination of players won't be easy.
