Fitting ending by Jamal Crawford![]()
Crawford too busy chatting up Houston's bench to play I guess
No lie, Harden would average like 15 ppg if you take away his free throws.
I wonder if the Clipper players actually respect Austin or they just accept he's there because of his dad's charity. In this clip it seems that Blake knows Austin is a scrub.
Crawful should be given zero minutes the rest of the playoffs, dude just flat-out sucks. All he did was chuck and freeze out the rest of the team. Typical me-first, "stats > winning" player.
Clippers actually shown a lot of resilience, despite the loss... pretty impressed with them... I expected more from the Rockets...
isnt crawford a FA this summer?
lmao volume stat shooters chasing own glory
Tom Rivers Jr. would've had an easy layup if he wasn't such a pussy
I believe it's a team option. If he's brought back, Doc needs to be fired immediately.
64 FT's in the 2H. Wow.
Why? The Rockets have major flaws that Dallas couldn't exploit but the Clippers can, even without CP3 it was going to be a struggle due to the matchups. Jones and Smith cannot guard Griffin. Their only PGs are near 40 years old. And McHale can't come up with anything other than "play Harder", though he finally made an adjustment and put Ariza on Griffin. They are a piss poor free throw shooting team. And Beverley and Motiejunas are out.
anyone watching this disaster on Inside the NBA?
Tnt lip sync battle..lmfao
Because Griffin isn't the only guy killing you. Half of those Clippers can't create their own shot without Paul out there. The whole Rockets demeanor is casual, Clippers look like the team that want it more.
Harden is very sporadic, and I expected more from guys like Ariza, who had a great season and 1st round...
Those other guys like Red and Crawford are Rocket killers per the usual. And yeah when the Rockets play engaged, they can run away with a game. But it doesnt happen much, they can never step on the other teams throat and that falls mostly on McHale. They keep making the same mistakes, regarding turnovers etc. Makes it look like they don't even practice.
It's easy to blame the coach, and I think McHale is a joke, but a coach shouldn't need to tell you to play hard in the playoffs. It's ridiculous. You have guys on your team that won championships, they know what's going on.
Like I said, I expected more from the Rockets.
The coach sets the tone for the team. He clearly doesn't demand focus or concentration and he clearly doesn't try to stop the failed harlem globetrotters act. But this can't be changed overnight and the rockets have enough talent to beat most other teams on a consistent basis and they can compete with good ones when they feel like it. It's just doubtful they can stay interested long enough to beat a legitimately good team over a 7 game series.
The Rockets just aren't that cohesive and their star players help them overcome that. That's why I'm glad the Spurs were eliminated because you can't get away with the various things the Rockets do wrong against San Antonio, not for a 7-game series.
And that's exactly our point, the Rockets don't take the entire game seriously. Houston is known for falling short in the playoffs but there were teams in the previous 18 years that at least gave it their all and maximized their talent.
Most nights the Rockets win on talent alone. That doesn't work in this round of the playoffs.
Rockets won last night because of their defensive effort. Wasn't the FT's, wasn't their 3 point shooting which was horrid, it was the defense and Harden finally catching fire in the 4th quarter.
I wonder what others players would average if you took away their free throws too.
