Texas won 7 games last year with two losses to teams we had no business losing to.
If Texas just beats the teams it beat last year and cleans things up enough to beat Tech and Maryland, this will be a 9 win team. However, I think Texas has a legit shot at beating every team on their schedule including Oklahoma and TCU. I would be shocked if Texas wasn't a 10 win team next year.

Poor Brew gets murdered on social media seemingly every time he tweets.
My two favorites:
Tim Brewster is working overtime trying to work on recruits, it's tough when you have to recruit at a place that has as much winning tradition as France has vs. Germany.
Thought that it was interesting that IT mentioned that A&M is pushing recruits to commit giving them false momentum. Just something to keep in mind as this recruiting season moves forward.
I think they have a solid strategy of trying to get kids wrapped up early and/or before the season starts in case things don't go well.
As long as they aren't reaching on any of their takes (and they aren't), I'd keep pushing hard for commitments in hopes that it's easier to hang on to them in the fall.
The early signing period helps in case you go 6-6 or 7-5, much like UT this past season.
The Football Brainiacs are reporting that ATH Jordan Whittington of Cuero will be back in Austin this week.
Five-star CB Chris Steele of Bellflower, CA told OrangeBloods he is planning an unofficial visit to UT for the spring.
He's also looking into an official visit, but that may not happen until the season starts.
Important to add that Ellis is an Ohio State writer, so that's good news.
A&M has offered LB David Gbenda of Katy Cinco Ranch.
He won LB MVP at the Houston Opening on Sunday and was at UT's Junior Day.
He's a nice-looking prospect, but just doesn't have ideal height.

Per UT, TE Garrett Gray is no longer with the football team.
He has chosen to graduate this semester and start working.
Quote from S Chris Adimora of Bellflower, CA (24/7):
"I'm hoping to visit Texas in the next month," Adimora said. "They have a great DB and especially safety tradition at Texas and I have a lot of interest there. That will be an unofficial and then I want to take official trips to Oregon and Michigan."

Whats this in regards to? For some reason I can't see what's being quoted.
An Ohio State writer crystal-balled WR Garrett Wilson to UT.

Any news out of Braylon Garcia from Lufkin? Use to work with his dad. Saw he was at UT, then at TAMU last weekend.
Nothing on the Lufkin guys since Junior Day.
Garcia may get a longer look later on if Coach Giles struggles again.
Almost a week old, but I don't remember seeing this one.
