If Pop was really playing Wemby on 5 minutes stints every game, Wemby wouldn't be averaging 28 minutes per game. I don't know where are you getting these "shorter, more frequent stints". Wemby is only getting subbed and put back in the game once per quarter. Exactly the same way it was done with Manu when he started.
You do you math? Wemby could get 15 minutes a half on three five-minute stints. He's averaging 28 minutes now because of his foul trouble in game 1 and his overtime in game 2. Add in the garbage time of game 3, and we've yet to see exactly what Pop wants to do.

Also, Wemby is playing three stints in a half. If he gets subbed in twice, that means he was in three total times.

I know and that's exaclty my point.
That's not really your point. Johnson's defensive struggles are mostly physical. He messed up on that play but was fine the rest of the game because he's physically able to handle the defense Pop assigned to him but made a mistake one time.

Lesser defenders tend to make these kind of mistakes and get burned more commonly, that's exactly why it's dumb to put your worst defender on the other's team go to guy, no matter what your overall team defense strategy is.
Again, "worst" defender is inappropriate terminology. Pop puts basically everyone on the opposing team's best guys. Folks should remember Lonnie getting in trouble for not picking up Kawhi a couple of years ago. Keldon has been put on Luka multiple times since coming into the league. Sochan's being put on everyone now. Defense is much more about scheme than it is about individual talent. Telling Keldon "guard this one small area" is a far better use of his talents than telling him "make these rotations and keep up with your guys as he moves around the arc." It's not something the Spurs have the luxury of doing very often. Keldon for the most part held up well. He had a couple fo mistakes, which led to the dunk and a three by Watanabe. But just like with Luka, no one else consistently stopped Durant one-on-one. I imagine when you look at PPP allowed across all of the Suns, Johnson actually looks pretty good for his work last night.

And that's exactly how Manu's rotation pattern was when he started, why are you saying it wasn't?

    That's not really your point.
Now you are trying to tell me what my point is? I don't know what you interpreted my point to be, but it was always this: playing Keldon Johnson as the primary defender on the other's team go to guy is dumb when you have many guys on the lineup that are better suited as on ball defenders.
