The island's not moving in time...the people on the island are. Except for those who are indigenous to the island (Richard and folk).
And WTF is up with those miners? And the doctor making those Dharma video's, was he on the island?![]()

Finally someone to talk LOST with me.
Ok, whoever's moving....it's going to make me dizzy. How did Richard find Locke? And who were those Englishmen with guns saying "what are you doing on our island"? Past Others from the 19th century? I'm sooooooooo LOST.
Richard...my guess is that he found out where Ethan encountered Locke, and went there to meet up with him.
The gun-toting maniacs...I have no idea, it probably depends on what time they were in.
lol @ maniacs
So who do you think is asking for a sample of Aaron & Kate's blood, Claire's mom? It has to be, right?
So the Oceanic 6 have to get back to the island because????????????????
if the island isn't moving, then why did it seem to disappear to the Six?
I wish they would close a few doors before opening more.
Did anyone else call it that the whiny dude Neal was gonna get axed?"Where's the fire?"
I also wish they would explain more about that Asian guy that can talk to ghosts. I guess that's how he was able to find the dead boar so fast?
Also, was that lady that Ben was talking to the same one that appeared to be in charge when they first threw Kate and Sawyer in the cages and had Jack operate on Ben?
I also guess they don't need Walt and his special abilities any more.....
I wonder if we'll ever see Roger Mason......errr......Michael ever again
I thought his head was going to explode.
Doesn't he resemble the doctor making the Orientation films? Related?I also wish they would explain more about that Asian guy that can talk to ghosts. I guess that's how he was able to find the dead boar so fast?
I don't recall her face. Also, was that lady that Ben was talking to the same one that appeared to be in charge when they first threw Kate and Sawyer in the cages and had Jack operate on Ben?
And Hurley screwed up and got arrested.
IIRC, that was that same old lady that worked in that jewelry shop that Desmond bought Penny's ring from.
I'm pretty sure we'll see walt again, and Michael is dead (although he'll make some flashback appearances). Remember Shepherd told him he was done, he could go now...the KABOOM, C-4 in teh face.
i think she appeared in a Desmond centric episode in season 3.
season 3 episode 8 "Flashes Before your eyes"

Did anyone else notice that Dr. Marvin Candle is actually named Dr. Chang?
we didn't really see Michael or Jin die.
I think the writers did that on purpose in case they wanted to pull them back later.
I'm pretty sure Hurley doesn't stay in jail very long.
Who was the lady at the end???
They made it look like she was a past character the audience was suppose to recognize, but Lost seasons are so far apart from one another I don't remember her.
edit: yeah you might be right on the jeweler.
Are you sure the lady in the jewelry store wasn't Daniels mom? She was the one doing the physics on the chalkboard.
any reason they showed the baby at the beginning? Is that Sun?
Am I the only one that also hopes they get rid of that annoying red head? I was happy when she started getting the nose bleed
Sawyer called her Ginger.Love those nicknames he gives to everyone.
I think the main thing going on is whoever controls the island is someone we have already seen (in some time) and has orchestrated ALL of this to change something that happened in the past.
the actress is Fionnula Flanagan.
In the desmond-centric, her name was Miss Hawking

I guess the someone that is trying to change the past is someone that is not aware that you apparently can't change events in time.
unless you are Desmond, I guess.
You can change the past, I think. Although, I've only seen the first two episodes one time. The physics guy told Sawyer not to open the hatch b/c he'd screw stuff up, then once Sawyer left he opened the hatch.
Whatever happened the first time did not involve the 815 people; as in the plane never crashed. They were brought to the island this go around to change something imo.
, I don't know.![]()
I'm glad Desmond seems to play a HUGE role in the future of the series. Good character.
ehh......not sure about how much an actually be changed....
the only thing that has been made crystal clear is that once someone is supposed to die, you can't change the fact that he's supposed to die......
a guy like Desmond can apparently postpone it for a while and maybe change the way a person dies........but not change the fact that the person dies soon.
Well they only have a contract through Season 6 at this point, and based on quotes from the show's creators it is supposed to be a show with a shorter timeline.
Yeah I noticed that the "indigenous" people didn't move....and my theory is that they didn't move w/ the island b/c they're already dead.
I think Ben sicked the lawyers on Kate because he knew she'd run. It would make her more likely to go back to the island.
As for why everyone has to go back...still trying to figure tha tone out.
They seem to be framing a few characters as "unique" or special...
By my count I've heard that characteristic given to:
Locke (miraculously walking)
Desmond (Farraday told him)
Hurley (saw cabin/sees ghosts)
Michael
And the obvious one is Jack, though no one says he's unique or special it's clear that he has a profound effect on what goes on with the island.
