Reminds me of 2005 as well. Everyone was diving for the loose ball, but when you see the replay Steven Hunter couldnt move because Nazr held his foot. (Nazr was at the ground that time, I think the ball got out of his hands)
, eva since Kobe slap the out of Manu, he ain't been the same. I blame time-warner.

Spurs have some dirty players, big deal. The sooner some of you fans learn to deal with it, the less time you will have to spend trying to defend their actions
I learned to accept the 'thuggets' tag for the Nuggets a long time ago. NBA players should just man up and respond in their own way when someone does something to them. I was all for Reggie Evans getting smacked in the head by Kaman after the nut grabbing incident (althiough caveman restrained himself and didn't retaliate, i wish he had). If you want to be 'dirty' then you have to be prepared to be roughed up. Quit crying to the media Amare!
They just need Raja (or someone else) to bang up Bruce/Manu and then call it even. The game has gotten way too soft these days.
Sliding your foot under a jump shooter so that when he shoots a jumpshot, going straight up and down, he lands on your foot is not Defense.
That's being a coward.

You'd have a better chance selling me on OJ's innocence than of selling Bowen's innocence.
Sure after the first one, 2, 5, maybe 10 times you can keep calling it an accident.
After the 101th time, it's pretty clear what the intention is. I mean Bowen does a wild footswipe at Stoudemire. How is that "defense?"
On an ESPN NBA forum, they had a poll about the foul and 93% of NBA fans thought it was intentional. It doesn't get more blatant than this.
Can you tell me about the times David Robinson undercut people and injured their ankles, knees, etc? How many times was David Robinson accused of being dirty or kicking people and trying to hurt them?
In my opinion, Bruce Bowen is a dirty player. There is no excuse for intentionally trying to injure another player, and that's something I feel Bowen has tried to do multiple times in the past. I don't think it's "good hard defense", I don't think it's being "overly compe ive" and I don't think it has any place in basketball. I don't feel that the entire Spurs organization is dirty, but they have definitely turned a blind eye to Bowen's special brand of "defense". I'd rather the league step in and suspend Bowen than see a player from any team go down with a serious injury because Bowen's foot just happens to be under theirs when they come down from a jumper. I don't buy any of the excuses about Bowen kicking Stoudemire's Achilles Tendon either, that wouldn't even be tolerated in soccer and that's a game that revolves around kicking. I just don't like that type of play.
Facts:
(1) Bowen kicked him on purpose like he kicked Ray Allen in the back on purpose.
(2) I'm coming back from China on Friday at 10 p.m. which means I'm getting back just as Amare takes this series to a whole new level by talking .
Yup, that's what I saw as well. I'm disgusted, kicking someone from behind has got to be one of dirtiest moves out there. Especially in this context, where the Spurs were getting their asses kicked, what a cheap shot.
I think us Spurs fans have a blind spot when it comes to Bowen's antics.
Kinda feels like the Spurs have gave up a lot of momentum in the last game. These kind of things tend to fire up the opposition rather than us, because we're clearly in the wrong.
The next game will go a long way in determining whether or not we've got the real stuff in this playoff run. Look at the way Detroit's comin' on.
You want to moving forward in the playoffs, getting better as each series goes along. We took a big step back in game 2.
Give me break. Amare crying about anyone else is ing ridiculous, when I watched Game 1 and 2, and he spent the whole damn game pulling on Tim, hanging onto Tim, and his team mates hacking Parker and Manu to the floor every time they tried to cut. Their moves are as dirty as ANYTHING Bowen did.
Exactly. Finally, some one else with eyes to see. i posted the same take jn the other thread with no response.
Amare is just making himself look stupid and whiny.
Compare this to Manu's reaction to getting busted in the chops by Kobe. "No it was just a basketball play. He should not have been suspended."
That is a man's reaction.
EXCELENT!!!
May be amare can learn this from manu![]()
Exactly. Good post.I agree and disagree with Amare's comments:
1. Bowen does some dirty things sometimes. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial. Bowen's Achilles kick was uncalled for and could have caused Amare some unfortunate injury.
2. The Spurs are not a dirty team. Manu and Bowen do some questionable things, but that doesn't make the whole team dirty. I doubt Pop tells his guys in practice, "Alright guys, listen up. We gotta try and take Amare out of the game, so do whatever you need to do...just make it look subtle."
Actually the first one is partially opinion...he did kick Amare but without being inside Bowen's head (and its a big one so there is room(1) Bowen kicked him on purpose like he kicked Ray Allen in the back on purpose.
(2) I'm coming back from China on Friday at 10 p.m. which means I'm getting back just as Amare takes this series to a whole new level by talking .) we cannot determine 100% accurately if it was intentional. We can theorize it was or wasn't but we do not know for sure.
As far as the second one...have a good flight.![]()
This idiot has the IQ of a Zero! What an idiot! This crap offers motiviation to crush these bas s three straight games and send them fishing!
Thanks for proving to me about your incredibly short attention span, and finding things at surface value rather than doing any in depth analysis.
Even better, you take pride in being ignorant.
BTW, enter key was used in the post, but that's just one of the many incorrect opinions to facts arguments you have used in this thread.
Bad call by Amare...especially considering even his teammates and coach seem reluctant to back him up on this. You don't hear Ginobili complaining about what should clearly have been a flagarant foul by Bell in game 1 when he hit him uneccaciarly on the head. Or the time Bell clotheslined Kobe, very dangerous I might add. If his own teammate uses what Amare thinks of as "dirty" tactics how can you call the Spurs a dirty team? He should let his game do the talking...
Poor Amare... Spurs dirty? How mnay players have been suspended by the NBA Amare? You big cry baby. You making 10 + million a bucks a year and your pussy hurts. Thanks for the bulletin board material..
I just realized I have super-human senses, because I can tell that I got kicked with my back turned AND without looking at tape.
Sorry guys, I gotta go out and fight crime now.
I seriously can't believe there is a Spurs fan who thinks it was a kick?
Mikey, WTF, do you purposley agree with the other side in your attempt at world wide "objectiveness?"
I just saw the video now, and it wasn't a friggen kick, it was a going for the ankle, as Kori and others have said before, Bowen doesnt intentionally or try to hurt people, so all this BS is just that...
ATTENTION Bruce and Manu ""Take a Shower because The Special AMARE can't play with dirty players"!
It's probably that you aren't considered a "star" in the NBA until you have publicly complained about Bruce Bowen..
Get a life Amare......If Bowen had meant to kick you, don't you think his best shot would have be to the right leg and not some awkward crossover? And how many people "try to kick" you with them falling backward? If he is going to do it on purpose, he is going to put some power into it.
In fact, I'm not even sure he touched his "left" leg at all.....Not even sure he touched either one of them. When I first watched the video, it looked possible he may have clipped his "right" heel, but even that was iffy.
Do people just post without reading this thread? Those who "whine" that Bowen kicked/slid his foot at Amare, do look at this picture again.
Yeah, right. Kicking my ass. Even Stu Jackson announced that Bowen is innocent.
This coming from the guy that as soon as he hits the floor cries like a baby suffering a nappy rash. We saw this in 05 and we seeing it now. Its a tired act. Just get up and play you .
You would of thought playing along-side Steve Nash, Amare would learn a thing or two about hard-nosed play-off basketball.
No I was just voicing an opinion just like you do. I am not going to agree with someone just because they think I should.Mikey, WTF, do you purposley agree with the other side in your attempt at world wide "objectiveness?"
Bruce is in Amare's head. He has done his job well!
Who cares! This is getting old. Let the games speak for themselves.
