Coming from a Pistons fan...lol, Whose team plays "Dee-troit Basket-Ball" every time one of your players knock some-one to the ground.
So Laimbeer was dirty?![]()
I love this new role the media invented for the Spurs, "The Team You Love to Hate."
Oh wait, I thought we were boring. Soft? Too old?
Just imagine if KG delivered such a foul (not that he'd ever be clever enough).
They'd probably invent some new kind of lifetime achievement award.
Or if it was the Pistons. "That's East Coast Basketball at it's finest."
Or Kobe. "The MVP wants it more than everyone else."

I really hate that guy that wrote Robert is ''cheap shot Rob'' on yahoo.sports. What a .
Horry you rock.
Destroy y hornets in game 7, let them whine.
Obviously you didn't see Lebron's dunk over him.
Get over it already.
Piston fan has been known for their great crowd behavior.....

You hope not, huh bag? Because it's obvious who you don't want in the next round.
I hope West is healthy and ready to go for Game 7...I want the Spurs to beat NO at full strength...no excuses...no * by the mediots when the Spurs win Game 7 on Monday night.
Exactly! Worry about winning one in Utah, then open your mouth.
Not to mention, Utah could win one in LA.
It's all about gravity.
Also, let me say the fans were completely classless and I regret that associate with that audience, but that being said:
at everyone taking David West or the Hornets as a scapegoat saints.
Heh...funny, as soon as i saw that play last night, i knew the short bus crusaders would be in full effect on Spurstalk today.
Of course i was right, with Dazedandconfused driving the bus.
Nothing malicious at all with the foul, robert horry ran down to set a screen to clear the baseline for Manu. He had no idea D west was going to jump into him backwards...he leaned into it to make sure he set it hard, and didnt give ground...that is play off basketball...get your in s out of your mouths.
David West was cheered when he got up, and cheered till he got off the court. The Horry chants were to let him know we still respect him as being a tough compe or...to think otherwise is ing ridiculous.
whether its a cheap shot or not, it was within the rules of the game
if you cant handle playoff basketball, then you should pack ur bags and head to phoenix with the rest of cryin fans.
Horry has been pretty quiet this entire playoffs, game 7 is just the game for him to have a coming out party on. Big Shot Rob!!!
I actually would have rather seen Paul get knocked on his ass. Not to hurt him or anything but just to make him think twice about the lane.
He didn't eliminate anyone from the Phoenix series, that I remember. Can you remember someone that Horry eliminated? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I would expect a Suns fan to say exactly that. You are right about two things,
He anticipated the impact and leaned forward. If he hadn't, West would have knocked him on his ass. West jumped backwards into him going for the pass. It's Horry's space if he's there first. It certainly wasn't West's space. Tell me, What would You have done differently if You were Horry? It wasn't intentional and you're an idiot. I'm sure the league will look at it and do nothing. Refs made the wrong call last game when Parker backed into Tyson and got put down. That was a foul on Parker, not on Chandler but Chandler got called for it and we all laughed.
One last thought: I don't think any fan likes to see players get hurt, but S.A. Fans are hoping West gets well soon, just not soon enough to play on Monday.

I think it wasn't a cheap shot.
If people seriously think that was a dirty play, or even a hard foul, then the pussification of the NBA is complete.
Yes, exactly. And he probably did it just to stop the action because West was injured, and it didn't matter because the game was obviously won.
It would have been a no-call in a normal situation.
I saw someone make a funny post on the lakers forum about this
"Darth Bowen has taught his young apprentice well."
I got a good laugh out of that.
While I don't think the play was dirty, I was a bit disappointed in the Horry chants.
It's all good though, Chris Paul's post-game interview is all I needed to see to let me know that he'll come out on a mission Monday night.
I cringed at the timing of the chanting, but honestly I don't think it was at West being injured. If it had been a more likeable player...one who was not so arrogant and didn't clap in Fab's face trying to instigate techs then maybe they would have paid more attention to the guy on the ground and realized he was really hurt. It was more a chant in support of Horry against the ref and then him taking a seat for what could very well be his last home game EVER. They did clap when DWest was able to get up which is something you won't hear in any of the media outlets because it gets better ratings to talk about the bad stuff. The majority of Spurs fans want a team at 100% when we beat them. We're tired of the asterisk BS that haters like to strap us with.
I would be mad as too if it happened to one of our players, but even the BSPN announcers who have never hidden their hard ons for the Hornets said it was a clean play. If DWest had not jumped right when he did Horry wouldn't have hit him in the sweet spot that caused all this. Did Horry know his back was injured? Yeah. Did he purposefully try to take him out? I really don't think so. He exploited a weakness...playoff basketball. Our guys play hurt all the time, but I would not expect the other team to take it easy on them. That's just ridiculous.
i only care about this to the extent that it breeds excuses. this reeks of one already. should game 7 go our way, this will miraculously become THE play that was THE single reason for the series win. (knock on wood x 10000000)
deferred accountability.![]()
I was at the game, and there was applause when West got up and went to the locker room. Put a damper on the game for me- never want to see anyone laid out on the court for that long.
I couldn't read through all the pages to see if this was written yet, but where is Reggie Miller's opinion on this? I mean he blamed TD for that hard Chandler pick on TP, so where was CP3? Shouldn't he have told West that a hard pick was coming? Reggie thought so when Chandler was tagged with the foul.
CP3 can have his biggest game in New Orleans in game seven. As long as no one else does.
will you please beat this into the head of all the other fans from other teams who want to whine for ya'll? it's really in annoying.
