Expect Pop in the RRT now lol
I'm so happy for Victor to have some offensive and maybe a little defensive help from Fox.
One idea that is occurring to me in the midst of this Spursian fever-dream is that the FO may have simply expedited their plans due to Wemby's unprecedented growth and ascendance. This was probably an end of season 2 or even an end of season 3 move. It is so relieving to see that there's some flexibility and improvisation happening with this often overly disciplined FO. A player like Wemby requires a very different approach, obviously.
Memphis 128 - Spurs 109
+/-
(under the weather) Wemby +8
Rest of the team
Champ -21
Barnes -20
Keldon -18
Vassell -16
Bassey -16
Wesley -7
Sochan -5
Castle -5
Paul 0
The above says it all.
Can we get Yabusele?
Good chemistry with Wemby
And he can hit the occasional three
The occasional three? He's literally shooting 40% on 4 attempts per game.
Victor Wembanyama on the team's trade for De'Aaron Fox: "It just shows that they're not here to waste time and they're willing to take the next step on time. We’re moving forward. I think it’s a good step in the building of our future. I’m going to miss dearly my teammates."
What this quote tells me is that Victor was feeling the same way as a lot of us on this message board. It was time to improve the team, much to the chagrin The Sniffers who bought into the ultra-slow build patience grift that PATFO was publicly pushing. Wemby wants to win... he doesn't want to skip steps, but his stride is longer than everyone else's and he progresses from step to step at a much faster pace. The Front Office needs to keep up. This was a good time for next step. Don't be late with the next one either.
The Alien is happy with the arrival of Quicksilver

Get well soon Wemby
You should rest next game
Wemby better wake up and play better from now on otherwise fox might overshadow him
rest? 21 year old rest?lmao

Agree
One simple thing Wemby can do to help improve his game is stop bringing the ball down when he gets it anywhere down low. Sometimes he takes unnecessary dribbles that does nothing but allows a strip. Keep the ball up, catch it high keep it high and he shoots or passes.
Sometimes he does this when he get a defensive rebound and bring the ball down the court. He’s trying to show off handles.
for me its an immature habit.
He played great tonight so it means he’s going to play bad against the celtics
You're just way too pusillanimous for this sport.
31Pts (57% shooting and 5/8 on 3s)

Has any player with that type of stat line ever been that much criticized?
We're already spoiled
translation: "my brain is uncomfortable with new and fresh approaches to anything in life and i want to remain in my comfortable box of limitations on every thing i see happening....i hate to get pushed out of my boundaries...its scary!"
